Huddle House

First time visit. 7:30 pm …no grits, griddle was closed for cleaning which limited food options, wrong omlet delivered, eggs overcooked. Perhaps everyone can have a bad day. Great potential to be a real player in the food lineup in town. Maybe we will try another time.

I normally love Huddle House. Today was a different story. You had one waitress that was working her hind end off. You had two other waitresses one was possibly new the other one could care less. My daughter and I were waiting at least 20 minutes to be seated. There were tables that had they cleaned the them we could have been seated. These tables were in this one section that the waitress could care less. I know she walked by those tables at least 20 times. We were finally given a table when another couple who had just walked in went and just sat down at a table. I had to say something about them just walking in before we were seated. This waitress took our order brought our drinks and an hour later still no food. During that time I witnessed one of the cooks go outside with family members smoke a cigarette come back in clean a table for them and took their order. The waitress we had went out to smoke a cigarette during that time slso. Another cook had to go outside to get them to come back in. In addition to all of this there was another lady with 2 children in the booth beside us that had been there longer than we were. I just had to get up and leave. I did tell them that was a ridiculous wait time. People who don't want to work need to go home.

It is a MUST place to eat at period. Very humble and pleasant atmosphere. Food was very tasty and good. I will most certainly dine there in the near future...

Food was very delicious no complaints there but the service could be a tad bit better. Our waitress didn't check back on us and we was in need of refills, she spilled tea on the table and when bringing my extra bacon a piece slide off the plate and it wasn't replaced just a sorry. Prices aren't too bad either. The food is what saved this place from a lower star rating

Service is often slow, because of the lack of people willing to work during Covid's Money for Nothing period, so they're always short-handed, but the food is very good. They're getting by the best that they can, I guess. Patience and understanding is needed.
Huddle House should appreciate these employees, they are working under a lot of stress, and in most cases, doing a great job. (No, I don't work there, just being truthful)

The food was excellent and the service was very friendly

Ordered the prime rib omelette took about an hour and on top of that when I got it it was dry with no onion or the brown gravy sauce that comes on it. Just egg and dry meat wit a piece of cheese on the end. And the meat did not look like any prime rib I ever saw. I had hash brown loaded and they was so hard I had to cut them with a knife. Asked for my onion and was told it’s onion on there but I’ll give you some more “ come here look there’s not one piece of onion on here!!! Oh sho ain’t “. Brought me the biggest cut up onion ever!!! It’s a no for me!!!

I’ve tried calling this place to order lunch I can’t tell you how many times. NO ONE ever answers! It’s annoying!

As a customer I feel like the food is very good. I wish the waiters could all get raises because their job is very under appreciated because they deal with attitudes and other unpleasant things all while keeping a smile on their face.

The mega bacon burger is a delicious item and the flavor on the cheesy bacon tots will make you become addicted in every way.

The staff is very short handed altogether and I wish more people would get hired their because the people work hard to get people their food on time and accurate.

When I was their I had a teenage boy as my server with curly black hair. He was respectable and always made sure I had everything;we even traded a few funny stories and he told me about his favorite items here. I felt very warmed because it's hard to find hard working young men nowadays especially in a job where adults can be harsh and disrespectful.I definitely look forward to seeing him again

As a whole Huddle House in Demopolis,AL is one that should stay because although short handed work their hardest to deliver great food and make everyone happy

I recently had stop coming to the huddle house because of this one waitress that was loud and not professional at all. I will not call her name but she was not well groomed and when it became busy all she was saying I need a cigarette now I heard her say it at least 5 times. And then she came to the table smelling like marijuana after she went outside. After reading the reviews I seen that things had changed so I decided to stop by and I was greated by a young lady name Ashley and when I tell she made me feel welcome and she showed so much professionalism and well dressed. Even though it took a while for my food to get to the table she assured me that it was coming and that staff was short . I will admit the girl has a great sense of humor. She also made me cry after I seen her walk in the rain to get a elderly lady car closer to the soor so she wouldnt get wet and she rook her jacket off to xover the elserly lady head up❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙂
