Huddle House

We waited for over an hour and never recieved our food. They had 5 employees working, and they stood around talking and arguing with each other. The waitress came over once to tell us she had no idea when our food would be ready. I would have been more understanding if they had been busy. We finally just left.

***DO NOT RECOMMEND*** We went in (5 of us) and it took 20-30 minutes before we were seated and asked for our drinks. Then another 10 minutes before our orders were taken. Once our orders were taken we waited an hour and a half before asking how much longer and we were informed there were still 2 more orders ahead of us. And the lady said “It’s because there are online orders.” In restaurant customers should come before online orders. Will NOT be going back here and I will tell everyone that asks how bad my experience was!!

Arrived for dine in and we'll over 30 mins Noone came to take our order or even get us drinks so we walked out. The employees were playing and talking with each other and other customers and did not acknowledge us other than telling us where to sit when walking in the door! I watched the cook stick his gloved hand in his mouth to eat something then go straight back to cooking with the same gloves. Very unsanitary! And very disappointed in demopolis huddle house!

When we drove up at 8:45 on a Saturday morning we wondered why there was no one there. We found out. We were seated quickly and our coffee was good and hot. That was good because the restaurant was freezing. We ordered 2 pecan waffles and 1 order of bacon. Apparently the cook didn’t cook enough pecan waffles. One pecan waffle sat on the shelf while they argued about who ordered what and how many. Someone said “you need to get your s—t together.” I know Huddle House isn’t fine dining but this is unacceptable anywhere. They brought me the cold pecan waffle and my husband a plain waffle with pecans sprinkled on the top. It was cold- would not melt butter. He tried to eat it but did not like it. Bacon was cooked well but tasted like onions. We paid and left. We tipped the waitress and did not send his waffle back because he was wary of the outcome. Sad to say because we live 15 miles away and it is one of three places for breakfast- but we will not be back. Very disappointed.

Family breakfast turned into lunch. We waited 1 hr for food. One of the five people at the table received her food 45 minutes before the other four. Some of the servers had bad attitude. One server said if they impatient they don’t have to return. The cook yelling at servers about don’t put any orders in until she tells them to.

Hello, I will love to say that my second round experience was nothing but exceptional. I had a waitress by the name of Ashley she was very well groomed and very professional. Even though the wait was long she made the time go by fast with her outstanding sense of humor. I will be visiting often.....

Carrie was our server and greeted us before the door could close behind us. She was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. As we listened, she greeted everyone as they entered. From the orders for the people around us, she named off every option available for the customers choices. I heard several other customers comments regarding the service she provided.
On top of all of this wonderful service, the food was well prepared, served hot, and just what we ordered. Thanks Carrie and Huddle House.

They are not doing their job they are taking 2 hours straight and my food is not out yet!

Shay and Ashley did a marvelous job I just set back and watched how these girl work together. After my first experience with another waitress I said I will never come back but my hubby convince me that it was ok now since new managers are there. And after these two ladies and the cooks made me want to come back as often as I can. Good job ladies
