Baba Java Coffee - Hoover

Baba Java has some of the better coffee in the Birmingham area…it would easily rank up against coffee shops in Atlanta. Furthermore, the vibe inside is very nice and there’s a decent amount of spots to sit and get work done. Additionally, they have a few board games and card games to keep customers entertained. Their prices aren’t all too bad and the location they’re in is pretty nice, with ample food spots all around in case you get the jitters!

Have been looking for a true coffee shop! Real coffee cups. Real comfortable. Locally roasted. Really nice people. Glasses for water readily available. Wifi password on the receipt. The REAL deal. Not the "put in a to-go, want to push you out the door quickly" place. They enjoy their jobs, & their customers! Really glad I came here & will be back soon! ☕❤️ Lattes are DELICIOUS & orange roll is mouthwatering!

Drove by here a couple times and today decided to stop on in. I tried their Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte, and it was delicious! They use a homemade syrup that pairs perfectly with their fresh cold coffee! The vibe here is very relaxing and friendly! One of the best in the area!

Another favorite coffee place. This one because it’s close to my home and the people and their passion about coffee and the coffee shop experience.
This time I met w/ my lady Ms. Bonnie and we got the lemon blueberry scone and orange cranberry scones. Bonnie is a breve chic and I had a matcha latte. There were just a few moments of silence as we mmmmm’d those scones away! And every time I visit here, it’s so productive!! Bread and his peeps Sure make it feel like home!

My go-to coffee stop when I’m in the area. Wonderful service, the staff has always been pleasant and welcoming. Whether you customize a basic or have one of their signature drinks or teas, so far everything my husband and I have tried has been delicious. It is also a great place to get some work done, the tables are perfect in terms of size. (Weird to say but it’s important I promise!)

The atmosphere and service are great. The coffee, though, is below average. I ordered flat-white, the milk was not steamed properly, it has a water texture!

First time here. The staff provided great service. I had the Maple Brown Sugar Latte and the Lemon Blueberry Scone. They were both delicious before I knew it my latte was finished. Loved the atmosphere as well. Easy to access Wi-Fi. There were a lot of seating options available. If you’re in the Hoover area I highly recommend stopping in to just grab a coffee and baked goods to go, catch up with a friend, or get some work done.

Just met a friend here for coffee; was my first time going. Had THE BEST dirty chai I’d ever tasted & the service was AMAZING. Everybody genuinely seemed to enjoy being there! I highly recommend!

Baba Java loves coffee and it shows. This local spot serves some of the best coffee in Birmingham. What makes them special is their beans, sourced from Ethiopia, China, Papa New Guinea and other countries around the globe and then roasted here in Birmingham. Their lattes are great but my suggestion is to get a pour over or americano to really enjoy the flavor of these great beans!

Great coffee! Well-brewed; has a nice balance of acidity and sweetness, not too bitter. Beautiful presentation and great service. Thank you.
