Baba Java Coffee - Hoover

Absolutely top notch knowledgeable friendly staff. Lee was awesome with his obvious dedication to coffee! Coffee was on point full of flavor! Definitely will return when back I'm back in Hoover!

Not in the best location for my normal travels but worth the detour. Approachable shop and staff with spectacular brews. Cramped shop at busy times if you need a place to study but easy to park and walk in to get what you need. Delicious cup of black coffee my normal order and meter of a good shop and this is a great one.

Love this coffee shop! Such a great place to study. They roast their own beans and make their own syrups. Baristas are always so kind.

This is my favorite coffee house. The espresso-based drinks are delicious. The selections are excellent. If you want coffee or tea this is the place to go. I have tried many items and I have never been disappointed. Everyone who works there is pleasant and if you need an explanation of a drink they do so happily. The vibe is relaxed. Give this place a try when you are in Hoover.

Great coffee, caramel made on site. Coffee brought to table. Great place to escape cabin fever if working from home office.

I have been going to baba java ever since spring of this year. Their beans are always great smelling, and make wonderful espresso. The store has a lovely atmosphere and is generally pleasant to be in for a while. They are also great at keeping their roasters busy, by getting new blends and origins in regularly they make sure to keep things interesting.

Nice to not have to drive all the way to homewood or downtown for specialty coffee, and have it be just as good.

Only complaint is the weird ringing up of things. Got a specialty latte in the size of a cappuccino and somehow it came out to be more expensive

The five stars is definitely for the atmosphere. Great place to meet someone to chat. Coffee prices are a little high (comparable to SB). The staff are very friendly.

Very cool design to the place. The baristas are friendly and happy to explain the nuances of the coffee options to me as I am just getting into coffee! Love this place!

Great staff, I described the flavor profile I wanted, and they steered me towards the iced vanilla latte, it’s been my favorite drink since!

Edit: 2 years on from the original review, this shop and the people who work there have been amazing, I have not ever had a bad experience at Baba Java. The people who work there are exceedingly good at what they do and the coffee is excellent. I’m looking forward to many more years of great coffee and impossibly good service.
