Coal Creek Coffee Downtown

I wanted to like this place because it is convenient to my home and work, but I've had a bad experience every time I've been here. Last time I went I ordered a grilled cheese. It had one tiny square of cheese on it so I showed an employee and they said it looked like they didn't put enough cheese on it, but she didn't offer a new one. Today I ordered a large pizza and chai and the pizza was TINY. I thought they messed up and gave me a small but when I told the cashier she said the "dough wasn't rolled out well" which made it look small. Essentially they weren't willing to do anything about it either time. Also the chai tasted like plain water. I will not be wasting my money here ever again.

Absolutely wonderful place. Popped in for an iced Irish coffee while waiting for a few things to be done downtown. The atmosphere was wonderful and the people were friendly. I'm not exactly this type of places "average customer" by any means and I certainly got a couple looks walking in but I'll certainly be back! Place reminds me of this old coffee shop/bar I used to frequent back in the days of being a cab driver in the big city.

Pretty much Starbucks but locally owned. If you like hipster vibes then check out Coal Creek. They've also got a taphouse.

The Best Place to have a quiet lunch and the crescents where huge buttery filled with almonds and cinnamon...the Turkey Pesto Sandwich with mushroom so delicious on this cool fall day plus the MPAC Art Work Beautiful...Ih don't forget the pretzel with queso dip..

Ordered a coffee of the month and a caramel macchiato, pretty standard universal coffee order. Came out straight foam with no coffee flavor and an espresso which is not what we ordered. Extremely disappointed and a waste of $20.

The male working on 4/7/2023 was horrible. He mumble and wouldn’t repeat what we ordered when he gave us the drinks so we didn’t know who actually got one drink. Would not go here again.

We were very impressed with the beer and the coffee here. We only had a pretzel as an appetizer, but it was delicious. We will definitely be back when in town!

The staff is wonderful, and the coffee is pretty good, but my only downside is that the coffee is expensive, so just be prepared for some sticker shock.

My family and I were in the area for a week and went here three times. Quality was consistent every time.
Each time we ordered a Vanilla Latte and a Breve Vanilla Latte(made with 1/2 and 1/2 instead of milk).
Espresso is bold, smooth, and flavorful. In fact, it's so bold I never would have guessed there was only 1 shot in the 8 oz size. (I like my coffee strong.) The drinks were not overly sweet like most chain coffee shops. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and the foam was creamy and smooth. Highly recommend!
(The sizing is a little odd-you can get 8 oz or 16 oz and there is no in between.)

I placed an order for pickup yesterday through their website. When I got there I was informed "they never got my order". Proceeded to have to wait another 25 minutes for them to make my order. Cashier also wanted me to pay again even though I had already paid online and had proof of my payment. Food was good just disappointed with the customer service and wait times when I was there on time to pick up the order I placed online.
