Wonderstate Coffee - Viroqua Cafe

Stopped in for coffee and the food looked so good we had to get a breakfast sandwich. The good was absolutely amazing! The chi tea was a little milky but loved the amount of spice in it. We will definitely stop in again next time we're in town!

Nice clean place. Menu was simple and very good with very good options. Customer service was great and so was all the baked goods and drinks. Would definitely recommend.

I tried the hot chocolate it was ok. I have 4 stars for the sales chocolate chip cookie. It was amazing!

Edit to add: The hot chocolate did not taste like anything really, just warm foamy water. Maybe they could add more chocolate?

The building was nice and very presentable, however, the hot chocolate that I had for the amount that I received was overpriced and tasted only like warm milk. I could make a better cup at home with Swiss Miss. My mom had a latte that tasted the same way, so I don't know if it was just the batch but I'd take the chance at your own risk.

Stopped here during the Coulee Challenge 1200k brevet. Light and airy atmosphere. Enjoyed a Farmer's sandwich prepared fresh and toasted to perfection. The sandwich came with pickled fruit and vegetables which were also delicious. I hope I can visit again in future. All the employees were warm and friendly too.

A nice cafe, with a good selection of coffees. They also have a good selection of pastries and a small menu of plated meals. WiFi is available. Indoor seating is somewhat limited. There is a fair sized outdoor seating area as well. Overall it is a pleasant place.

I don't give 5 stars very often, but this coffee shop had it all!! Great customer service, clean place, great vibe, awesome coffee. A perfect balance between craft and comfort. The food was way beyond anything I expected. Like the town of Viroque, it was lively, fresh and pleasing.

I ordered a sandwich call "The Hot Mess" I think and I wish I would have gotten two. The meat with a mix of pickled sour and sweetish aioli (let's be honest, flavored mayonnaise) came together between two slices of toasted bread soaked in butter so nicely, I doubt many coffee shop sandwiches will ever live up to it again for me.

I also ordered a hot cocoa because that's what I do at coffee shops, and while it was good it was not as hot as I would have liked. But this tends to be the case regardless of where I get one, so I won't hold it against Kickapoo Coffee in Viroqua.

Definitely worth visiting for a freshly made bite of The Hot Mess.

Great coffee and great food. The service is fast. We love coming here. Carry out option is very convenient.
