Wonderstate Coffee - Viroqua Cafe

I highly recommend the Cortado or salted caramel latte. The cookies and pastries are great too. I'm never disappointed here.

Oh what a gem this place is! Of all the places in the world, Viroqua was the last place I imagined finding a place with perfectly roasted, fresh coffee and delicious home cooked and healthy food. What’s amazing about this spot is that the coffee is roasted only a mile away, so you know it’s fresh! I also bought a bag of coffee to take back and highly recommend the Colombian single origin beans.

We loved visiting this local coffee shop during our stay in Viroqua. The staff was super friendly and the coffee was amazing. I purchase an oat milk iced latte and a sourdough BLT. The latte had a great flavor and was perfectly balanced with creamy oat milk. Honestly, the BLT is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. This isn’t your typical BLT. This sandwich comes with local heirloom tomatoes (the best kind of tomato), a generous amount of bacon and crispy lettuce. The sourdough is the perfect thickness and holds all of ingredients perfectly without becoming soggy. Did I mention that they also slather on an amazing garlic mayo?

Such an awesome watering hole for all. The diversity of souls here was inspiring. I was served by a gentleman named Tyson who made me feel right at home with the community. The food, although outside of my normal preferences, tasted so good and made me feel even better walking away. This is a must stop for anyone traveling through and I’d even say a destination for anyone in south western Wisconsin. I’m looking at you Madison!

Nine and a half dollar Avocado "Tartine" (basically a fancy avocado toast)?!? It better be good! It passed the test for me, a descendant of one of the first avocado toast-ers to date. I recommend getting the egg fried and add an extra for $1.50. So $11 open faced sandwich, and otis worth it right now for a late breakfast. Outdoor seating and friendly vibes plus great locally roasted coffee and fairly high quality bakery is a plus to say the least.

Only got coffee, iced salted caramel latte. $6 for a large, so that's pricy as their large isn't very big, but the drink was great. The bakery and menu items looked good too. Loved the atmosphere.

As always, the staff were great & the coffee & muffin were excellent!
