Usually, I don't post reviews unless they are positive. This one is somewhat negative but intended to be constructive. Purchased a coffee plus shot of expresso today (Sat 10/3) at the Erie street location. Unlike Colectivo (with which I am comparing Wonderstate), the coffee combo I was requesting is not listed on the Menu board. I didn't specify a size (12 or 16) and wasn't asked by the serving Barista. As a result, the combined price of the purchase plus the tip came to $5.75 (vs. $1.75 at Colectivo) leading me to think I was getting the 16 oz. So I was paying close to $2 more for 4 oz less of the product. Thus, Wonderstate seems over priced to this $$-conscious customer. Adding to my dissatisfaction was the fact that I had specified I had wanted the cup to be filled up. I wasn't told until I was given the noticeably unfilled container that a new batch needed to be brewed. My final criticism is this. Right now because of Covid precautions, many coffee bars do not have condiments accessible. In the case of Colectivo, I can ask for sugars in packs and cream in a small paper cup: in other words this particular chain has adapted to the health risks associated with the virus. My experience at Wonderstate is that they haven't made these adaptations, so it felt like I was inconveniencing the Baristas by asking for sugar and cream arranged so I could administer them myself. Overall, my experience here was an awkward and expensive one. Aside from that, the coffee is very good and the Baristas are friendly.

The space is beautiful and the coffee delicious. I had a coffee cake and maple latte. The coffee cake was moist with a balanced flavor that wasn't overwhelming while the maple latte was sweet without being dessert-like. If you're in the area, it's a a nice stop.

There is a reason why this place has potential but cannot seem to get it together. Staff is not friendly, hours are not great. Hopefully they turn things around, would be great to see them be successful under the most recent name.

Good music, good atmosphere, nice and welcoming baristas, plenty of seats.

Enjoyed the space and coffee just as much as Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin enjoyed their stay at the bio-domes

Bright & beautiful shop. Latte was excellent 👌. They serve Wonderstate coffee, which is real good.

Beautiful interior, friendly staff, one of the first solar-powered coffee shops in the world (!!!), unique and genuinely delicious foods and drinks. Highly recommend this green energy-fueled cafe over the Colectivos and Stone Creeks!

Very well operated cafe. Excellent coffee. Nice atmosphere, modern architecture, roomy, good music, mostly art student present because the School of Arts across the street. On street parking. Friendly staff. Hidden away in plain sight. Will return.

Super clean and thoughtful design. Ridiculously comfortable stools at the communal table. Friendly, experienced baristas who consistently crush it. I highly recommend a machiato followed by a smoked trout biscuit washed down with the self serve sparkling water. Lots of little details that cause a very comfortable whole.
