I usually don't write reviews, but this one is different. The place is great, it feels more welcoming than any other coffee shop I visited. The coffee is another story. I ordered espresso with hazelnut for a start, the coffee was pretty good, imagine that you go on mountain hike and you reach to the top, you look around and you see that wonderful view, the trees kissing the sky on the horizon, yeah that is what I called it, fantastic. After that, I ordered french toast late, and hear me out on this one, it is like classic train trip, you look from the window and you see big field filled with flowers, the flavor is rich and magical. The service is over the top, nice staff. I would visit again.

Nice space, I had perhaps the best scone I've yet had in Milwaukee...moist and flavorful. I had ice tea and it was very good. My companion had an Americano and deemed it muddy and so so. The atmosphere has a suitable downtown vibe with all that entails, good and not so good. I would definitely return, especially because they have afternoon into evening hours, something getting harder and harder to find in coffee shops these days.

Solid coffee and good vibes! Nice place to work, there are often students studying here from the nearby universities. Prices are a little steep (two black coffees will cost nearly $9 after tax) but if you’re willing to pay a premium to support local coffee, it’s well worth it. Service is hit or miss; some of the baristas are very polite and friendly, others can come off a little judgmental if you order a sweet latte or ask about the seasonal flavors.

I've been here twice with my girlfriend on our way home from the intermodal station. This cafe works on a bar system, which is fun and unique. Their chai and specialty coffees are really tasty, as are their savory scones ! The baristas are really friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help you find something you'd enjoy :)

The coffee is amazing, canary is doing a great job and you are able to enjoy their passion for coffee with every sip. That's a great way to start a day!!!!

Highly recommend Canary Coffee! Great location in the heart of the city. The coffee is on the more acidic side, which isn't my favorite but it was definitely high quality and fresh. Really relaxing atmosphere!
