Canary Coffee Bar

Every time I travel, I look for coffee. This place is fantastic! Great lattes and the barista that's helped me so far has been pleasant and helpful. Made a carrot chai for my caffeine-free friend and it was well done!

I love this place, and it is probably one of my new favorite cafes to come study and do homework. River, the barista, is always so welcoming, super nice and seriously the best!

Excellent coffee and very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The barista welcomed me as I entered and offered up recommendations as he poured shots.

The avocado toast didn’t have chimichurri on it for some reason (pandemic related, somehow?), but everything was excellent otherwise.

I’m not into flavored lattes, but they had quite a few that seemed pretty legit. Like, not just “add syrupy artificial-tasting sweetener” like most, but well-thought-out complementary flavors.

When we first entered, though, we did not know what to do. There is no line or cash register, and no one greeted us. I wandered around the counter & tried to make eye contact for about two minutes. But when we finally did get our order, it was delicious! I've never seen a more beautiful latte design. And the servers were very friendly!
The atmosphere is very loud - the people talking, the machines grinding/whirring, the constant clanging of dishes & the obnoxious music. But the decor is simple and classy. Foremost complaint (& I'm tempted to give 3 stars for this) is the crass photo near the entrance. There is no point to it - you have a tropical/coffee theme throughout the cafe, and a pornographic photo is offensive and crass.

if you're able to get served by 'Colin' consider yourself lucky! he was absolutely incredible when it came to being knowledgeable about any and all coffee questions. we ordered a "flight" and were basically transported to a coffee 101 class. he poured the coffee one by one and explained almost everything to us about each one. his suggestion was also delicious! i can only say that this place absolutely exceeded our expectations when visiting milwaukee.

Great little place with amazing coffee. The muffin was a little dry for my liking but it was good!

Lovely cafe to get some homework or work done while in the city. Beautiful plants, interior, and great coffee. The barista is very thoughtful and sweet. Would return , and recommend.

Warning to all of you oat milk drinkers. This place uses Pacifica oat milk, yuck. No vegan options for food.

Thank you for the great coffee! We went in the evening so it wasn’t busy at all. You could tell the barista took his time and made every drink with special care. And it was delicious! Cool atmosphere, too.

Do not offer cold brew or iced coffee. Menu is very limited. The place has cute decor but it almost feels lonely bc it’s a large place with not much coziness or fulfillment of unique decor/seating.
Nothing too unique in my eyes..
