Barriques Coffee - Old Sauk

This place has not led me astray. Without a doubt my favorite of all the locations in town. The staff is great and always takes care of the guests. They might be too good at upselling the pastries but it is so worth it. The seating is plentiful and cozy as well!

The coffee here is from Madison Wisconsin. There own brand, thts a plus. Every time I walk in this business, the aroma is so wonderful, and the staff are so friendly. The only thing is the beans are whole. So if you buy some to take home, you're going to have to grind them yourself. Please stop here for some of the best coffee in the city.

Was bummed to find out that they are now closing at 4pm instead of 6pm. Now I can’t go for a quick fun beverage after work! Love Barriques otherwise.

Overall a great environment to get work done and socialize. Bur when it comes to espresso and drinks in that category It lacks. I ordered a iced vanilla latte with oat milk( something I order often at coffee shops all over). But from the taste and the visuals of the baristas pulling the espresso shots I can tell they are doing it wrong. In short words just compress the grounds more. The barista only set the puck tamp and spinned it.... But once once you fix that you can adjust your extraction times ect... But overall an amazing vibe ✨️ here.

Coffee is great, the place is nice and cozy, pretty good selection of wine and ok selection of craft beers. The baristas we're super slow on making drinks, otherwise I'd definitely give it another star, will try it again and for sure, big plus on the free WiFi, as always, make sure you use a VPN and protect your devices when using unsecured networks.

Had a lovely Chai AND a Chai scone. Both were delicious. Cute shop with kind staff.

Such a cute coffee place with good smoothies and breakfast food too. The app is easy to use with a generous point system. Ordering ahead to pickup is so easy. They also sell wine -- haven't had any but the selection looks pretty comprehensive. Could use some shade for the outside tables.

Slow and not organized. Over 40 mins on a slow day to get coffee and two sandwiches. We asked for to go glasses and they gave us regular glass. Lack of management and direction to employees. Yes it was a slow day. Can't come back to this shenanigans for the high price they want. Kwik Trip is a better alternative and faster ti.e and same quality.

I have gone to the location on old Sauk so many times over the last few years and have always had great experience… however…..

Over the last few weeks I’ve gone in three times at 5:35-5:40 to be told that the grill is closed because they are closing at six.??

My Most recent visit I called ahead to make sure the grill was still open. At 5:25 I was told “the grill is open until we close” (clearly that’s not what actually happens). We get there at 5:35 place our orders and at around 545, the lady at the counter oddly tells us “you know we have to make this to go because we are closing at six“. Well… that should’ve been clarified when we put our order in at 5:35. I have never experienced a restaurant asking you to leave 15 minutes before closing time and not letting you eat there. It was bizarre.

We take the food and make our way out. My seven year old daughter goes to the register by herself to say “bye “ stands right in front of the lady and says this sweet little “bye” not once but twice and the Woman who is literally a foot away from her completely ignores a seven year old? I then have to explain to my daughter why someone would be so rude.. I will never go back to this location, which is very unfortunate because the food really was outstanding ( the reason for 2 stars instead of 1)

Excellent specialty coffee drinks and very good breakfast options. Love coming here for a brunch date on the weekends! They also have a good wine selection and comfy seating area by a fireplace to add to the nice ambiance.
