The staff was friendly and the food came within a few minutes after I ordered. Their Chocolate Chocolate waffles are delicious and so is their Hot Chocolate! If you're looking for a place to eat some yummy food, definitely come here!

If you're in the mood for something sweet, get their waffles. They're fantastic! I really like the ones made with chocolate batter. They also know how to make their cappuccinos dry. It does get crowded here sometimes, but there's a good reason for that!

Very unique, great gourmet waffles, fun funky atmosphere, a little crowded for to the small space but alright if you're vaccinated or wearing a mask.

Fantastic! We both got waffles and had the iced chai and the Mayan spiced mocha. The waffles were delicious and drinks excellent. Service was also fast and friendly, bringing your orders to your table. They don't collect empty dishes and glasses though. When finished, leave your plates, glasses, amd trash at the counter between the kitchen and bar. The place was cozy and had lots of old cameras lying around. For those interested, they have a fenced-in outdoor patio in the back as well as bathrooms.

Indie is a true gem. Great coffee, great food, great atmosphere. Plus reasonable prices. I’ve spent many hours happily sipping their lattes - my favorite coffee shop hands down

Love this coffee shop so much. Great food & drinks with so many different options for whatever you’re craving! The waffles are definitely worth a try.. so good. The only downfall is that it’s so good, you sometimes can’t find a seat!

I was looking for a nice coffee place that had good food and good coffee of course and I came across this place and it had good reviews so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try.
Since it is Covid times, we placed the order online and when I was at the checkout process there was a curbside option, it even asked what kind of car we had so I entered all the info. We arrived a few minutes earlier than the time it said it was going to be ready, we waited like 20 minutes and no one brought the food to us: I called, I told them we chose the curbside option and she said: “I am sorry, we are not doing that right now we are very busy” so I had to get out of the car and wait for someone to come outside and call out my name; I didn’t mind that but it would have been nice to know about that.
There were like 20-22 people waiting outside and most of them without masks and not respecting the social distance even though Indie had some rules about that posted on the window, it seemed they didn’t care at all.
We had The works waffle: The few pieces I could eat were ok and I say that because by the time we got home it was very soggy, they put all the toppings on top of it. I would have liked that they put it on the side, I know they were busy but it would have taken a few seconds to do that. The strawberries tasted like if they were just thawed. I was excited to try their waffles but I ended up disappointed.
Bacon, egg and cheddar bagel: it was nice but I think it needed some creamy dressing to make it even better.
Cappuccino: it was tasty but my cup was half empty so unfortunately I couldn’t enjoy it longer.

Love their sandwiches - especially the one with goat cheese, fig spread, and spinach. Coffee is decent and great for studying alone in a quiet setting. Downside is the shop is always packed and I have failed to get a spot multiple times.

Indie Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in Madison by far. Their drip coffee is the best in town! The house coffee has a very distinctive flavor - it's very smooth and rich, and nothing else I've found compares to it. They have yummy waffles and pastries, and to top it off, the staff is friendly.

Great coffee and great service. My only big complaint is that it's a little cramped space-wise. I grabbed a chai and planned on reading, but it definitely was loud and I had to kind of squeeze into a corner. The chai was great and I would be very down to try some food next time, but I wouldn't want to bring a friend to chat because of the space. But if you plan on dropping by to just pick something up and go I'd highly recommend the place altogether. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.
