Tempest Coffee Collective

One of the best coffee houses in the area, pretty consistent with quality of coffee. Haven't had food here in a while but it was good when I did.

Good coffee and some tasty bites but food service can slow to a crawl during busy periods. Waited 40 minutes for avocado toast and a chickpea sandwich. Granted I was told there would be a wait but 40 minutes borders on excessive. Still though, great place. Just be prepared to wait sometimes. Good conversation with your coffee helps pass the time.

They didn't mess up my Love of coffee. They have multiple methods of brewing and that makes me happy. No syphon brew but a menu like a candy store for coffee lovers. Totally carfenated now so I know it works. Great views of the Fox River, and great art. Service is good and everything is clean.

Moving from Madison to Appleton, Tempest reminded me of the type of shop I came to expect in the city. Very chill and modern atmosphere, reasonably priced menu items and a nice view of the river.

Finding the place for the first time is a little confusing and it’s always busy enough in the shop that it’s hard to casually grab a cup of coffee and relax because there’s usually a line out the door. Downside of a popular spot!

While looking online it was hard to believe this place was as good as it seemed in the pictures, that it was overly glorified. Wrong!

This place is lovely. Today as I sit here with my bacon cheddar waffle sandwich (delicious) and traditional cappuccino (perfect) and the snow lightly falling outside (beautiful) I am in the right place at the right time.

Great coffee drinks and interesting menu. Tempest has outdoor seating with a great view. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. My only drawback is that during busy times Tempest becomes very noisy. Acoustics are poor but, weather permitting, outside seating would make for good conversation.

I love this place! Beautiful setting on the river, and great design inside. Drinks, food, baristas....none better! It took true visionaries to imagine this place off the beaten path. You have to want to go there...it's not on the way to anywhere else. The road less traveled is seeing a lot more people on their way to Tempest!

Great decor, beautiful view, good coffee. My only complaints are 1) it's a little expensive and 2) it's very often very crowded. If you're just stopping in for a bite to eat or a short chat it's great, but I like to visit cafes to work and it's not always the best environment for that.

I was told when I went there that this place was known for their levels so I had to have some waffles. I had the waffle breakfast sandwich and it was incredible. They give you maple syrup to dunk it in. There is also a huge outdoor patio that sits by the river. Very very relaxing and inviting.

I usually get a latte here and it is amazing! I also love the people and atmosphere, wish there was one closer to home. Highly recommend
