Ty and the staff are very friendly. This is a great place to come to get work done, meet a friend, have a business meeting, go on a date, or just enjoy the smells. The coffee is good. Always good food and beverages. The view of the river is nice as well. Both indoor and outdoor seating.

Stopped here for coffee and was very impressed. Wonderful staff, phenomenal coffee, and the Dixie Dawn? Absolutely one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in the valley. Cannot wait to go back to this place!

Cool vibe but our experience wasn't worth it. The wait was over 40 minutes after ordering, and we saw people who ordered after us get their food first. If you're just passing through, there are probably better places to stop.

Great place! The food and the coffee is a must stop for!

Fantastic espresso, great atmosphere, and friendly staff, all in a lovely riverfront location. I've been here both to work by myself on my laptop, and meet a friend for coffee, and it's great for both. The only downside I can find is the lack of bike parking, despite being right along the bike path. Fortunately, you can lock a bike against the guard rail by the river, but it'd be nice to have a rack that doesn't risk dropping your keys in the water every time you come and go. Still, this has quickly become my favorite cafe in Appleton, and I'll make a point of coming back whenever I'm in town.

This cafe used to be the best in Appleton. They had great vegan options and their chickpea smash was amazing, but now they're sacrificing taste for creativity. It's cool and original stuff, but the taste is not good. Baked good are fine, but if I am going to eat a meal I am going to Seth's or Copper Rock. They're less expensive and their options are head and shoulders better.

A coffee shop that has Chicago Style hot dogs?! Yes please! Coffee is fantastic. They've been open two weeks and I've been here at least a half dozen times. Inviting atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fantastic coffee. Great food. Oh, the waffles are incredible as well.

Recently visited this lovely cafe and found they had enhanced their menu, yes! I love Tempest, beautiful place, great coffee, nice people, intelligent crowd (Lawrence University students abound), a really fine place. Located along the Fox River it's in a beautiful natural setting. A very popular place.

This was my first time visiting Tempest, and it certainly won't be my last. Approaching from the road, it isn't terribly easy to see, and it looks like it might be in a cramped, dark space. It couldn't be farther from the truth! The space is cozy, yet never claustrophobic. You walk in, and are immediately greeted with handsome, trendy, and calmly muted decorations. The bar itself is beautiful, and a great place for coffee photography, if that's your thing. They offer the traditional scrummy pastries and such, but they also offer a breakfast and lunch menu that is refreshingly different and very health-conscious. It was hard to choose, but I ended up trying the quinoa salad bowl, which was amazing. It's one of the best places in the area for good health food. In addition to the menu, they offer a full espressos drink selection, each drink handcrafted. For a trendier place, I was surprised at how kid-friendly it was. The general atmosphere from staff and customers was very welcoming towards the two toddlers I had with me. There were even toys for them, which helped lengthen the trip for me. All in all, a definite must-see!

Newest shop in Appleton at the time of this review. Owners are super enthusiastic. Coffee is good. Location is unique compared to other shops in town. Good system with baristas making drinks, and the kitchen doing their thing. Having seating near the door can get a bit chilly during cold months.
