Krispy Kreme

Tried the Key Lime donut today.....it was good. Pina colada donut wasn't as good. My granddaughter loved the island time donut. We drive there from Wayne because there isn't a store closer to us. I just wish we could get there at a time when the hot light is on.

I try to stay away from sweets but when I passed by here the other day on my way to my wife's appointment, I came back after dropping her off at her doctor's office. Got a couple of cream filled and a dozen plain glazed. There's not a better glazed donut in the world than Krispy Kreme.

I get large orders at Krispy Kreme ALL the time. For example tomorrow morning at 6:15AM I need 30 dozen. I have been trying to call them to place this order for the last 4 hours. It rings until the phone cuts off (usually 30 rings or so) and I hang up and redial. The Krispy Kreme at Riverwalk NEVER aswers their phones. I usually have to go over and then wait for an hour because I was unable to call ahead to order. The few time that I have been able to get someone to answer the phone, the order was never relayed to the morning crew therefore not ready. Not sure what's up with them. Great donuts but that's about all that's great. Wonderful people once you get in there but even though Krispy Kreme is across the street from my office, it's just much easier to go to Donut Connection. Now for those of you that want "a" donut and can walk in or go drive through, its great! But for large orders, don't bother.

I went, ordered 2 donuts and 2 drinks. One being a lemonade chiller. Poor guy was all confused with our order, we straightened it out. He hands me my coffee and says “have a good day” and walks away. Then hands us donuts.... then walks away.... then when we ask for a chiller, hes says “the machine is broken”. My husband would’ve gladly chose something else if he was made aware.. which then landed us in yet ANOTHER drive through. I don’t come here often, and I think this validated why I don’t make the drive often enough.

So after more than 7 visits sense Nov 2017 I am now going to give a honest review. I know donuts are not healthy but every time I go to order a sugar free latte they tell me they are out of the sugar free syrup. EVERY TIME! I have yet to have a sugar free latte ever through them. Everytime I come to order donut for the office I leave with nothing because I do not eat donuts due to sugar. There is also another thing I do not understand, When ever they have special donuts they are also always out of them. only once did they have the special ones in stock. I do not feel this place is ran well. I am giving 2 stars because of their very friendly staff.

Fresh donuts were great. Attitude of staff and attention to detail not so much. Got my coffee order wrong and acted like it was my fault. Also heard the guy whisper to her they were out of whipped cream so that didnt get added and she didnt even say anything about it.

Just before 9pm on a Saturday night and they were all out of most of their selection. I thought that was pretty bad... But the ones they did have were good! Glazed and Cheesecake. Maybe we will go back maybe not. Can get the same selection of their donuts at Speedway or Kroger... Disappointing... Would have given them a 5 stars rating if they were better prepared for the Saturday night rush hour. They had the hot fresh donut light on and they weren't hot at all either.

Definitely go when that Hot Doughnut sign is on, you can thank me later. 😂

Donuts are absolutely amazing, especially when the HOT sign is on. The workers were extremely polite. Definitely recommend going if you've never been.
