Pastries and coffee were on point. The blackberry mocha was delicious and decadent and the warmed pastry made for a great mid-day snack.

Appreciate the work they're doing in the community too!

I have been wanting to go to BCNW for a while to support this business. When I finally went . . . I was totally disappointed.

It all went wrong when I walked in the door. The place was disorganized. There were boxes everywhere and customers could not even get to the restroom. The shop could use a professional interior design. The art on the wall and the interior layout looks cluttered. There were two cars at the drive thru and 3 customers in line. I was one of the three and first in line. Not one customer was greeted as the entered.

There were four very young girls working however it did not appear to be a seasoned manager in the place. The young ladies were busy working but were not very efficient. To their credit, they were very friendly and I really believe they were trying to do a good job. Sadly, it took over 10 minutes for me, the first customer in line, to get a basic drink. I wanted to try a pastry but they were out of 3 different items I wanted. 🤔 These are things that will need to be addressed for this business to be successful . . . and I would like them to be successful.

There is a saying, you never get a second chance to make a good first impression. I drove over an hour to support a business and was completely disappointed. Will I go there again? Probably not because I live so far away. If I lived in the area would I go back? Maybe. Anyone can have an off day. However, as a business, you should never have any customers (especially one driving over an hour just to support you) feeling like they never want to return. BCNW, you can do much better than this.

Stopped this morning while taking a friend on am errand and this place is excellent. They didn't have their own roast but my latte was still delicious. I'm looking forward to trying their own roast and visiting many more times.

I was informed about this wonderful new business by Chef Logan Niles at Pot Pie Factory. During my first visit, I told Serena at the register that I was looking for a flavored coffee drink that wasn't too sweet. After a moment's reflection, she recommended a Dark Mocha. I ordered it iced, and Janae got to work making it. It was absolutely delicious and is now my favorite drink! But a great product can only go so far in a competitive business atmosphere; what makes a company stand out is its customer service, and both Serena and Janae are top of the line! While I was there, some items were being delivered by an equally lovely young man while his father was waiting in the car. I believe things trickle down from the top, so I can only imagine the new owners are as wonderful as their staff. Congratulations to all, and if you haven't made it to Black Coffee Northwest Café, you owe yourself a trip. Mine sure brightened up my day!

This place used to be absolutely wonderful! Expensive, but some of the best cinnamon buns I've ever had, lots of other good food, killer chai, smoothies, tons of excellent coffee drinks (of course), you could get a free cup of coffee if you were broke, the staff were great to talk to (and to look at, for whatever that's worth), and it provided all of us methadone clinic folk from THS a safe, nearby place where we could hang out without getting into (as much) trouble.

Now... well, it's okay I guess. The staff was still extremely kind. But they no longer offer a courtesy cup (or quite a few other things), and the cinnamon roll I had this morning was so and pathetic by comparison that I wanted to cry intense tears of profound disappointment :/ Three stars instead of two because we've at least got a place to chill again, and it does (technically) have coffee, coffee drinks, breakfast pastries, and so forth. But before, when it was called The Hot Cup - something like that, anyway - it was definitely a 5 out of 5. If I factored in my disappointment, I'd give it a single star...

I will sample the menu further, and certainly post pictures of their food and drink (if I can remember) and change their rating (if they earn it). But I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you - at least, not unless I were suicidal.

Absolutely LOVE this place!! First time coming here since the transition from OneCup and I will definitely be coming back. The pastries are delicious and locally made, and the drink I ordered was the perfect amount of sweet ratio. I 100% recommend this coffee shop to friends and family.

Welcoming, friendly and joyful staff, even when the pandemic has limited service to the drive-through window. Plus a lively community feel in the parking lot. This is the kind of place we need to get us through the upcoming dark winter. Not to mention they brew a very tasty cup of coffee. Can't wait to return!

They have gluten free hazelnut brownies. Seriously good and my favorite! Potato scones are delicious for the gluten lovers. Get the Karen (white chocolate mocha) you'll like it! Merchandise is nice quality and reasonably priced.

Great coffee shop with delicious coffee and a spacious lounge. The baristas were really friendly. So glad to have this business in the neighborhood!

I travel about an hour and some change and just to come show support. Great vibes, great people, great coffee. I like what they're doing in their community, and they even have other vendors set up outside so you can experience some other businesses. I'll be making the trip again to get coffee sometime soon.
