I love this place. First time here! Was soooo disappointed they were sold out of their famous Potato Scones that day. Settled for their cowboy empanada with black beans and it was delicious. Hung out for about an hour. I was worried there wouldn’t be enough space to study but they have plenty of tables w/ chairs and a bar with outlets underneath. I will be back to study here.

Best coffee in shoreline! This is my go to place for any coffee drink and in my 30+ times going here I’ve never had a drink made bad. The staff is always so nice and friendly!

Great coffee and hot chocolate. It's subtle to find -- look for the "Junction" sign.

Great coffee and awesome place to get some work done. The service is very welcoming too. I love that the pastries are always a bit warm!

Decided to visit to support a local Black business and I’m glad I did! They had so many unique flavors that you definitely wouldn’t see at your local Starbucks. I was very impressed—the breakfast sandwich was tasty and fresh as well! I noticed someone stated it they were expensive(I prepared myself mentally before I got there bc of that review) but in comparison to Starbucks—no…maybe if you’re not used to buying coffee daily, sure, but their 20 oz of a designer coffee is still $1.50-$2 cheaper. If you’re looking to buy local, this is one of your best options!

Great meeting space with occasional live music. Definitely a weekend staple...and the coffee is exquisite too!
I'd highly recommend a visit, whether at their new Ballard location (opening late July),bor the original Mountlajy

BCNW owners utilize this space collaboratively to support COMMUNITY businesses, unlike the every-business-for-itself model. They work with and support young folks, providing internships👍🏼
I love the marketplace they have periodically - what a creative, no-waste use of their space👍🏼
The coffee & beverages are delicious; I love the lavender drink that used to be called the Rachel - hot OR iced!
These good people continue to persevere, even in the face of all the hateful vandalism that keeps occuring.
SUPPORT (don't hate on!) a small, POC-owned business - they're only enhancing the community!

Every time I go to Black Coffee, I try a new drink. And every time, I am impressed with how delicious the drinks are.

A luscious latte and a warmed, blueberry cream-scone (crisp outside, tender inside) were exactly what was needed on a blustery October morning.
