Anita's Coastal Cafe

Anita's is great place for any meal. Good home cooking. Usually end up there for breakfast. Staff is great, service is quick. Definitely worth a try if you are in OP

Amazing food and when we were seated there was barely any wait time for our food. Overall an amazing restaurant.

Great prices and accommodating to big groups. Great service and our waitress was fast as she could be with the group size we had. I would go here again!

She was polite , and efficient , but NO 1 CAN TAKE CARE OF 10 TABLES , THE PHONE , SEATING CUSTOMERS , DELIVERING FOOD , AND TENDING TO REGISTER .
If all 2 seat tables are full !! You have to sit at counter , even though the rest are empty .
I saw several couples WALK OUT !! DINNER SOMEWHERE ELSE , I ASSUME !

Everyone considering going here, please read and listen to all the one star reviews. We should have because boy did we have a very unpleasant experience at Anita's. Anita, the owner is mean and rude. She told us not to bring our baby food in to the restaurant next time .... REALLY! We were like what are we suppose to feed our baby? Don't let the cozy environment and children's play area fool you. If Anita is at the restaurant, you have to follow her rules or get chewed out. Plus the food is pretty mediocre. We won't be back.

As to why two people can't sit at a four person table when it's dead & no other customers were there defeats me, but the food was over all good, good price. Fish & chips could be better quality.

I have eaten clam chowder at several restaurants in Long Beach that have won awards for their clam chowder. However, the clam chowder at Anita's is based on a recipe that they have been using for 36 years and it is hands down the best I have had. During this trip alone, I have had their clam cowder three times and I have only been here for a little over a week.

Not bad seems to be a bit or miss for the dishes. loved the calamari, oyster burger was good, Hamburgers we're average, French Dip was good.
