Anita's Coastal Cafe

The people are very nice but don't go here if you are in a hurry. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food. It's like they can only cook for one table at a time. When we did finally get our food my sons toast was black it was so burnt. I could not believe they would actually serve a plate for an adult with burnt toast let alone a plate from the child's menu. Food is average..not worth the wait time.

Clean restaurant and restrooms.Good service, great breakfast menu, don't forget the specials, at reasonable prices in large portions or 1/2 portions if you so desire. Our last visit there, a little too heavy on the oil and butter. Anita's is for sale and as of the tail end of January 2019, still open for service. There are not many other breakfast places in Ocean Park, my advice, call ahead to make sure it is still there to enjoy and I invite anyone who is truly knowledgeable to update it's status or to comment on this post.

There was 7 in our party and we were seated immediately by a friendly staff, got water and coffee right away. Breakfast was out fast and 100% accurate. The chowder was just ok everthing else was good. Really impressed with Anitas, best breakfast in Ocean Park.

This place could soooo be improved inexpensively by getting adult sized ceramic plates on real, not steel stamped, silverware. I mean with their prices it is the least they should do. Small plastic plates? Wow.. as penny pinching as it gets. Also, had the fish and chips with coleslaw and it was very good but the serving of coleslaw, yes cheap ole coleslaw, was a joke. It came in a little 2" round bowl, which is fine, but they fill it about a third of the way up! It is literally, two, maybe three bits of coleslaw. The problem with this place is basically no competition.. I'll be taking my business ten miles down the road to Long Beach. BTW, try the restaurant at the golf course in Long Beach. They know how to do it. Apparently Anita's will continue to be taking advantage of it's lack of competition in Ocean Park as they have never changed their cheap policy since establishing the business several years ago.

Anita's is open for take out only right now but her food is as great as ever! Help keep a local business alive during this pandemic by ordering from Anita's Coastal Cafe. You' ll be glad you did!

They were really busy due to clam weekend. Little lady ran her tail off trying to keep up. Good food. Friendly. Cook did roll his eyes when he saw our large group come in, but he still did a pretty fair job of getting the food out. The hash Brown could have been spared to the garbage for being over cooked but they were too busy to care. Sometimes you just have to go with it.

Always our go to breakfast stop. The staff is amazing, which makes it feel as if you are in your families kitchen. The food is great with the added coastal flair. You can't go wrong stopping in to eat with the locals.

A favourite of the locals. We are always greeted by friendly folks and given great service. Menu offers a great variety of comfort foods that never disappoint. Breakfast / Lunch spot that offers consistent quality of food and service.

This place was packed. I think at o e point there were people waiting g for a seat. That wasnt because of slow service. They always have great food. We only visit once a year but the staff are kind. Not sure about the decor. They have quilts on the wall. Not my style but that's okay. I left there full.

This is a great locally owned cafe. Staff was friendly. The wait was longer than most chain restaurants in the city, but well worth it once the food was delivered! This is a cafe we WILL visit again!
