Anita's Coastal Cafe

Always a pleasure coming here. Great breakfast for a fair price. Service is quick and my coffee cup never runs dry. I had the special of the day today, which was corned beef hash. It was perfect.

Breakfast was perfect. Chicken fried steak, hash browns well done as requested. And with all due respect, the server was the icing on the cake. I could’ve done without all of the politics banter from the locals in the background but it became real easy for me to turn my focus in another direction. I’ll go back for sure.

Food was just okay. Fish was way over cooked by a lot. But they were closing so ??

Pretty good, definitely the best down on the Peninsula. Old school diner food. Dinner food isn't ready until 5pm though, but breakfast all day. Had a surprisingly good kids area. Business was far too slow to judge their speed, but it did take quite a while to make the food anyway.

Asked for pepper jack veggie omelette asked politely if I could have it fixed since it came back with cheddar. Got charged quite a bit extra for having it fixed and wasn’t checked on once by our waitress to see how our food was... I think she was embarrassed so I felt bad. Good food for the most part just don’t think I will eat there again after that experience.

Very comfy, home style, cooking. Staff was amazing. Very bust as we are here on a rod run. My buddy said their coffee is amazing as well.

I would have to say it is impossible for me to review this restaurant honestly based on the fact that I know too much about the owner. I can tell you that the food I had there the last time was a very well done breakfast. Anita was very friendly. Customers seem happy with what they were being served. I do know the business is on the market and I have no idea how long she will be in business.

First off, we had trouble finding a restaurant that opens earlier than 7:30am. Anita’s was the first one we found to be open. Three of us in our party ordered the Elk burger breakfast. It was so over done and dry couldn’t hardly swallow it. Mentioned this to the waitress which seemed to fall on deaf ears. I have read some great reviews but as for us the visit was not so pleasant. We won’t be back.

Reviews are true about time! We waited over an hour to get our food. It wasn't that great either. I think it is true that the service is related to whether your a tourist or not. My very pregnant friend and I went there for breakfast and she had to all twice for our drinks and food!
