Rifugio's was delicious! We sat at the bar and had a great beer and chicken fettuccine. I would definitely stop here for lunch or dinner on your drive up or down Mt. Baker.

Best damn food in Whatcom County! Ate there last night after dropping off a box of delicata squash, Dylan and Richard killed it! Best burger since the old Bastille Lamb Burger from Shannon Galusha, yam fries with just the right herbs, incredible pasta, perfect gnocci, ginger apple pie, spicy mexican chocolate gelato! Outrageously good fare for super-reasonable prices. Local-minded, smart and crazy tasty cuisine.

We visited this quaint café on our recent trip to view the bald eagles on the Nooksack. As soon as you step inside you are greeted by the owners and the aroma of baking bread. We were chilled and looking for a little snack. Their caramel macchiato, far superior to the swill served at the chain coffee houses, you taste the coffee not just the candy. It warmed the soul and don't get me started on the white chocolate blueberry scones - to die for! We would have sampled one of the plate-sized cinnamon rolls as well but they just sold out. It was huge (8" dia.) and a bargain at $3. These guys are the real deal and we plan on returning soon for lunch or dinner.

So good I'm am so glad we stopped here. We were not expecting such an upscale restaurant. The food was excellent the service was great. If I am ever up this far north again I will go out of my way to eat here again.

Food was really good especially for being out in the middle of no where. Sadly the night we were there, a server called out so the waiter (may have been the owner) was very over whelmed. He handled fairly well though.

The food was excellent and the chicken was sourced locally. Owner was very nice and served us. Highly recommend checking out this local place if you are in the area.

I had planned to take a photo of our meal, but the food was gone before I knew it. Great staff, fun environment and delicious food. No complaints.

A delicious meal as always. The pirogi we're wonderful and the double chocolate tiramisu was divine.
