The French Press

We are very fortunate to have a wonderful coffee house, casual meeting place downtown. The atmosphere, coffee, and staff are very welcoming.
Most customers sit down to enjoy company or solve the problem of the day. Thumbs up!

The place brings out the best in the community, and wills those to feel more than comfortable.

This café is an excellent addition to Waynesboro. The staff is incredibly friendly and they help lend a laid back atmosphere of the café. The interior is charming and has seating for whatever your purpose, including bar seating, dining booths, and plush couches.

I ordered a plain latte, and it was well made. The foam was nice and dense, and the milk was steamed to the correct temperature, as evidenced by the slight sweetness from the lactose breaking down. My only complaint is that it was not poured well. I don't need a work of art, but there should be at least a general pattern to the divide of the foam and espresso crema on the surface of a latte. A simple dot would suffice. But again, I must emphasize that the taste and texture of the latte I received were excellent.

I visited the French Press on a Sunday morning and it was fairly busy. This led to my one significant complaint: the wait time. My friend and I each ordered a latte and a heated pastry and we waited about 20 minutes for it all to come out. I know that this café is trailblazing by opening in Waynesboro and appreciate the fact that garnering enough interest to fully staff the location must be difficult. Additionally, they do keep very long hours, which is excellent, but might be responsible for being a little understaffed during rushes.

Overall I highly recommend visiting the French Press when in Waynesboro, but the owners have some room for improvement.

The batista recommended putting coconut flavoring in my iced Chai latte, and it was fantastic! Staff was so friendly! Thanks for being kind to us Michigan visitors.

Fantastic caprese sandwich and an excellent cup of espresso.

Staff is super nice, and the establishment has a great atmosphere.

Also being that it is nearly in the middle of downtown Waynesboro, it is a great place to start your day.

Delicious drinks and pastries. They also have sandwiches! Really lovely, personable staff - highly recommended as the perfect lunch or study locale.

The owner, Mandy, was super rude when we entered and seemed inconvenienced by us ordering. We ordered an ice coffee, ice matcha latte, and a pecan bar. The matcha tasted like straight milk, no flavoring. The pecan bar had the consistency of a rice crispy treat and didn’t taste anything like pecans. She was impatient, and even though we asked for it to go after she had already asked us and we said yes, she gave us sit down cups and the pecan bar on a plate. Afterwards a few older gentlemen walked in and she was very friendly with them and more diligent. Will not be going back. Headed to Micah’s right after where we received better service, coffee and pricing. The woman there is much friendlier.

Love this place! Every pastry we’ve had is exceptional and the ambiance and staff friendliness is outstanding. Will be coming here on the regular.

Omg this place is so adorable! I love all the aesthetics that give it that small town, downtown feel. Service was spectacular, the coffee was great, and I can't wait to try the other flavors!
