Only ever ordered coffee from here but happy to see locally owned ships popping up. Coffee was better than any other options. Always open, even on snow days for all you Starbucks people.

We stopped in to The French Press while visiting the area from GA and were thoroughly impressed! The barista was super friendly and helpful with our latte orders. I highly recommend the Bourbon Caramel latte! My wife and I both got the biscuits and sausage gravy which was excellent. This place has that classic coffee shop vibe with cool art, mismatched (in a good way) furniture, cozy atmosphere, and relaxing music. We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

Went over the weekend and ordered pastries. After waiting 20 minutes, we inquired about our food. During another 20+ minutes of waiting, we asked about a refund and were ignored. Pastries finally arrived. Asked about a refund and she still ignored the request and boxed our pastries to go. Service here is so inconsistent. With the amount of time waiting, one would think that they're baking the pastries from scratch at the time of order, but that's not the case. There are many other coffee shops in the area with better and more timely service; give those a try, if you have the option.
