The French Press

I recently enjoyed a quiet afternoon at The French Press, a hidden gem in downtown Waynesboro. The regular coffee was great, with choices of light, medium and dark roasts, decently priced. A large number of specialty coffee and tea drinks were available as well. There was also a good selection of pastries and muffins to choose from in displays at the front counter. The barista was pleasant and professional despite working alone that day.

Came to get a coffee, a muffin, & to study. Amazing service! Super considerate people. Living in a time where it seems like customer service is dying, this place is refreshing!

Awesome little coffee house! We went for open mic night and had a blast. The small, supportive crowd made the night a lot of fun. Lots of variety including a flute, soloists, a duo, guitars, and more. Can't say enough good things about this gem. Good drinks and food too!

Found this coffee shop on maps, loved it! My husband had the BLT - where did she get that amazing bacon! I had a pastry that was like a sweetroll extraordinaire! Great atmosphere, great service!

I came here this morning and last night and the coffee is delicious will certainly be making return visits. Noah made me the best white mocha I've ever had.

Coffee is good. Atmosphere is great. Attention to detail of an order could be improved. We were excited to see waffles on a picture of a menu, but sad to see they were only available on Sat/Sun for brunch.

I won’t be back. First time visiting... wish the customer service was as good as the coffee. We were rushed along when ordering, and she spoke to us in a curt and condescending manner. Stopping for a coffee after church with out-of-town guests should be pleasant and joyful, but the girl running counter at The French Press was NOT having that... no joy here.

The staff is amazing! Definitely 10/10 recommend! The coffee is amazing and the staff is so nice and caring! Love this place and was only in it for not even 5 minutes! Quick and nice service! Definitely will be coming back whenever I come to Waynesboro!

Worker was extremely rude. We grabbed just a couple things and the worker rudely says “is that all?”…

We had just left River Burgers across the street and just wanted some coffee.

Staff is unprofessional. Have been asked to leave because they didn't have enough patrons (after purchasing a drink and sitting down.) On another occasion, barista was away from the register and smoking pot in the back with friends. The whole place wreaked of weed. And overall prices are steep. The positives: comfortable seating, good soup & tasty coffee beverages. Whoever runs this place may want to keep a closer eye on staff members.
