Something Different (Retail)

Something different is a great place to get an afternoon meal or a nice cup or cone of ice cream. They have numerous flavors that change frequently when they had new ones. I enjoyed the strawberry banana cone it was delicious. At midday the restaurant portion is pretty crowded so be prepared for a little wait but after you eat your meal you recall the wait was well worth it. Parking is a little difficult as with any of the other shops located on that same street but be patient you'll find a place to park.

We’ve enjoyed both brunch and dinner here. Service is always great. Their beignets are really yummy. Love the atmosphere. Cozy and clean.

Outstanding food, drinks and atmosphere. Desserts including pies and homemade ice cream can't be beat and you can buy them and take home if you want. I highly recommend everything about Something Different.

The vibe is energizing and family friendly, a bit noisy but fun. Kids, y’know. The staff and owner are all friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent and worth the drive from Mathews. Very good pulled pork, just the right zing in the sauce, best onion rings in years, and then there’s the ice cream. Good, granular and richly flavored, I had the chipotle chocolate. Right amount of afterburn. 2$/scoop for homemade. Smallish scoops, so yes, you may have two. Tell ‘em I said so.

Hands down THE best breakfast in area. Whenever my husband and I head to Gloucester for camping we ensure every trip includes at least one trip to Urbanna so we can visit Something Different. We chow down on the superb breakfast and enjoy the great customer service. The restaurant is located in the historic section of town and the locals are wonderful to interact with—definitely a stop everyone needs to make!

Took 7 years to finally drive down to this town but it was worth it! Food was great, coffee was stellar, and the folks are really nice! Can’t wait to take others back so they can enjoy the restaurant and all the area offers!

Great place, good food, and great staff, lots of tasty food on the menu and a giant beer selection to choose from. Go there on beer tasting nights. Just don't get their 'Bloody Mary'.....not so good.
I would recommend this place to anyone coming from out of town. Great local place.

The Mufalatta and crab cake sandwich was awesome!!!

The food was disappointing. Expected the crab cakes to be amazing but they weren't. BBQ not great and tri tip was really dry. The service was WONDERFUL! Loved our server, Maria!
