We had a wonderful experience here. It was recommended to us by our airbnb host while we were visiting Richmond for the weekend. We consider ourselves avid coffee drinkers, and this place did not disappoint.
I'm giving 4 stars on the food only because their breakfast sandwiches are served with a side of oranges and I am highly allergic. I informed the lady taking my order, but I still received oranges. Otherwise this place is a wonderful coffee/breakfast spot. I would definitely come again!

After moving back to Bon Air Roastology is arguably one of my most favorite coffee shops to go to and pick up coffee. I’ve loved making coffee for myself for years and always enjoy a casual conversation with the barista’s as they roll out new coffee’s throughout the seasons. I can’t say anything but great things about this place and their staff and roasters in the back.

This is a beautiful coffee spot and roasterie with little to be improved on. It's set up to be very accessible with indoor and outdoor seating. Indoors, you gave the option of a bar, large conference style table, smaller tables, padded chairs, or couch. The drinks are excellent and the staff is friendly. The vibe is warm and cozy while still being very intentional and uncluttered with plenty of natural light. My only suggestion for improvement would be for them to be open past 5.

What a warm, welcoming spot for a visit and a cup of coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful, explaining menu items and drink options. Tried the Hummingbird (iced) after a delicious description. Enjoyed the indoor seating with huge garage door windows and the midcentury/wood/plant vibe. Will be back!

This is now my favorite place for coffees and lattes. The blend of flavors is superbly just right. My only complaint is they don’t have 2% Milk which is simply surprising considering their top-tier quality. In my travels in/out of state coffee shops of this caliber always have 2% Milk.
This business has no competition in the RVA area as my local favorites have lost quality baristas and/or are struggling to recover from COVID’s financial impact. They only come second to Cervantes in NOVA for me.

Visiting the area and needed a bit of a morning pick me up. This place has plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. Plenty of natural light feed into the building with garage door glass windows. Greenery and natural wood decor make for a great feel. The large outdoor patio area was dog friendly and plenty of room to sprawl especially if one was to bring their own chairs or picnic blanket. The inside had room for solo adventurers with a large L shaped bar perfect for work or just keeping to yourself. Some room for larger parties but definitely a cozy feeling and the staff were friendly as well. It was a bit busy the day we came in and the wait can extend out a bit but all in all nothing horrible. Group favorites included the iced mocha infused with lavender, build your own breakfast sandwich options, and nitro coffee.

Great coffee shop. Good coffee and great staff. I give it 4 stars because I feel like they could’ve opened up the sitting area in a different way to allow more seating as well as a more comfortable hangout area. But definitely recommend their coffee and services! I visited in a rainy day and wasn’t able to see if they set up the outdoor nicely, if they do it would definitely make a difference. Overall great place.

Roastology is the best option for coffee if you’re looking for a place walking distance from Carytown. Great ambiance with live plants and tons of natural light. The building appears to have once been a garage with large bay doors. It’s cool that you are able to see into the back where they grind the beans. There is also ample outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.

Ordered a latte with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Both were well above average. There was a sizable line when I arrived on a late Sunday morning, but it moved quickly and I had my food within 10 minutes. I would happily return!

If you’re lucky enough to get to Roastology, do so! While enjoying a nice single origin espresso shot and and couple delicious iced lattes we were even more impressed with the incredible selection of in-house fresh roasted bagged beans! Went in around 10am on a Sunday morning to a fairly long line but they chopped it down quickly with an efficient pro staff! If you’re a coffee aficionado like me this is a must try. They also offered their beans for sale online which is great! Methodical fans will love this place!

The coffee/espresso is brewed really well. It’s nice to have a local roaster to buy beans from. They have a small menu with breakfast/lunch and the food is pretty great. It’s a little expensive for the size of the drinks. Usually the workers are very nice but I had a bad experience today. Overall, very yummy!
