Great coffee, great staff, great atmosphere. An unbeatable trifecta. Just wins all around.

Went for their breakfast burrito and coffee. Burrito was barely warm and a bit of a mess. Utensils broke while trying to use them, staff mildly unengaged, guy sitting across from me (looked to be living on the hard) was just sitting there spewing forth “f.. this” and “f.. that..” to no one in particular. Pretty unpleasant experience and definitely not worth the $20 bucks I spent.

it took them about 45 mins to make a PLAIN bagel with ONLY cream cheese. When I followed up on my order, it had just been sitting, waiting and was cold by the time it was in my hands. I understand it’s busy but this is the simplest order and it took so long because of poor planning oh the servers behalf. Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Cool atmosphere to grab a coffee and get some work done at. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. Place has a great Richmond art scene vibe to it.
Not that much seating inside but a good amount outside so it’s perfect if the weather is good enough for it. One of my go-to meet up spots

My favorite place to hang out, read, write, have a meeting, eat, drink tea, and pet a random dog in the city. Great mix of people! Delicious vegan, vegetarian, and meat options! Fresh pastries in the morning (they go quick!).
UPDATE (04/07/19)
The vegan orange cranberry scone is so friggin’ good. Must try!

Local coffee shop which sells some pretty incredible sandwiches and Lattes. Came here while visiting Richmond and really enjoyed everything we got.
My only complaint is that it gets really hot in this place when the sun is out. Some better air conditioning would be appreciated.

Nice patio, minimal indoor seating, good roaster

As we were walking around trying to find a coffee, a friend suggested Lamplighter. First time visitors but, we will definitely come back next time we are in town. They have the most friendly staff, vegetarian/vegan options and fantastic coffee! You can eat inside or enjoy the sunshine and breeze outside on the patio. Thanks for a wonderful Sunday brunch!!

It’s very clear that this place can be *very* good.
The espresso used in the cortado is very pleasant. Not overdone with citrus notes nor too dark.
The cortado itself was slapped together with little care. The burrito tasted like the beans and potatoes have been sitting in the back of the fridge for a few days.
I suspect once they begin serving in glassware it’ll be better.

The woman at the front with all the nice tattoos was very nice and accomadating. The menu is diverse as opposed to your regular coffee shop; and inclusive to accommodate those with particular eating needs. So if you are vegetarian and vegan, there is something there for you!
