Dog friendly and very accommodating. Amazing latte and I am so picky about my coffee! My wife loved the Matcha Latte too!

Lamplighter is always a good go-to. Super great outdoor area. The people there are always nice. There is usually a line but it moves quickly. All the food is good. I love the bagel with the maple sriracha sausage. The food takes a little longer than you would think but always a good choice.

This place is perfect for several different types of people. The outside area was great--had options for people who need the shade or areas for people who crave the sunshine and if you need to escape the heat, you can easily go inside. There is enough space to work on your laptop and not be elbow to elbow.
While I was working there I was able to have the egg cream (needed more milk), turmeric iced latte (the best I have had and I live in NYC), Thai iced coffee (PERFECT) and a simple egg/cheese sandwich with tomato which hit the spot. The best thing which is hard in Richmond, is that they have some parking in the front which was very convenient.

Coffee is great, service has always been fantastic for me. Always a busy place but you can usually find a table somewhere, and the extras you are given like fruit with your bagel give them an extra edge over other places around. They have a few parking spots, but be prepared for street parking, the are almost always full.

I ordered a delicious egg, cheese and tomato on an everything bagel! The bagel was up to par for my NJ standards and there was a thick portion of egg and cheese... YUM! It also came with a side of watermelon wedge and two orange slices. It was the perfect breakfast. For coffee, I ordered my favorite... a cortado, and it was beautifully prepared with a leaf design. After eating, I wandered back instead to peruse bags of beans to bring back home with us. We also noticed a wall of mugs for sale when we walked in.

This place is really rude and about as UN- Richmond as you can get! How anyone can say this is a local spot is beyond me. Only Yankees go here. I wanted my sweet tea and the guy behind the counter mumbled about syrup, (they don't even have real sweet tea). When I couldn't find the syrup for my tea, he slammed it down on the counter and moaned out loud "Good Gawd, here you go! " If I'm that much of a bother, why should I spend money here? I'll try a place where Southern hospitality still prevails. I'm not some old Baby Boomer, BTW. I'm just used to more pleasant service.

Good coffee. Even if one has demanding taste....

I love this Lamplighter location because the patio is dog friendly and they always have water bowls filled. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating and staff are always friendly. The menu doesn’t change very often but there are a variety of options including meat lovers, vegetarian and vegan.

Location/atmosphere is nice. The guy making my drink was more interested in checking out the guy that had just pulled up than making my drink. It turned out to be one of the weakest hot chocolates I've had. I'm not sure if he put chocolate in it!
If the guy were paying attention to what he was making I'm sure it would have been a great drink.

No compost. Great food but hiring manager needs to take a look at who they are hiring. Service was weird. $2 more for gluten free bread is simply too much. If it was a whole loaf I would understand
