Cape Charles Coffee House

My fiancé and I came here last year ate here everyday of our trip, had an amazing experience I told everyone how wonderful it was and couldn’t wait to come back. We came back this year and the server we had was just super angry the whole time so I thought okay might just be a bad day(I used to serve to I understand) so I sat there with no coffee for about 10-15 minutes didn’t upset me they were busy I UNDERSTAND. I came back today got sat outside was super excited cause it’s a brand new day and the same cranky server is our server again. We sat there for 10 minutes or more and she never came to get our drinks, so we left. Honestly I don’t know what made me think this place was so perfect cause honestly I don’t ever want to go back.

This is an amazing shop. The wait staff checked on us very often. The food was great. The food came out very quick and we cleaned our plates. The coffee was very strong and hot.

Went over Thanksgiving weekend and the place was packed. The meals were very tasty. Amazingly, the food arrived quickly, as did the drinks and even the silverware (this is not always a given here). Unfortunately, the crabby waitress with the red hair scraggling down her back served us. As usual, she had an attitude: she was doing us the favor. When asked if the lunch menu was available (at 1145) she literally snapped the nose of the customer with her curt "NO". Seemed a reasonable question to me. Is good help really so hard to find in this area where the unemployment rate is around 26% ?

The building is neat and there is plenty of seating both inside and out on the patio.

The menu has a range of brunch/dessert options as well as sandwiches and other items for lunch.

We stopped in for lunch and had a friendly server who took good care of us. I chose the egg salad sandwich while my boyfriend went with the rueben on rye and it was the by far winner. My egg salad was simple and delicious but his warm and delicious and perfectly-made rueben was amazing! I wanted more than the two bites he gave me!

They have coffee and pastries and muffins and dessert as well.

A nice place to stop for lunch if you're in town.

Great location with both indoor and outdoor seatings, the food was Indian inspired flavours, came good portion for the price. The service was professional. You have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathrooms, I would recommend closing that off.

We stopped by for lunch on our way down the eastern shore and have a great lunch! I could see myself returning just for the seared tuna salad with wilted spinach. Our waitress was in a great mood, despite the packed house, she was even singing to customers while taking their orders. I would highly recommend!

Food wasn't terrible, but the service was non-existent. We had the bill on the table before we had swallowed our first bite. Waitress seemed not interested in dealing with my food allergy. Based on other reviews, the wait-staff is what will make the difference in your visit. If I were local this place would not be high on my list.

Consistently good food and service - beyond expectations. I like this place and eat there every time I am near Cape Charles.

We were in the area and just searched "coffee" and came here. Everything was delicious and our server had a cool vibe
