Cape Charles Coffee House

Love their BELT breakfast sandwich. Adding eggs to a BLT was a wonderful idea (whoever came up with that). My kids love their french toast and the pancakes.

The eggs tasted like they were cooked in the microwave and had no flavor at all. And my pancakes were cold. Yuck.

Dropped in this morning for a black coffee, to-go...which isn’t very hard to mess up. However, after waiting 15 mins, and nobody in front of me, I asked the man behind the counter (who I believe is the owner), how much longer it would be...in return, I got major attitude and terrible customer service. A worker then brought me a cup of coffee, that had been set on another table, and not even the size I ordered. The owner then made some rude comment and went back to what he was doing, as he continued to make comments under his breath. It was very dramatic and absolutely absurd. After all of that, the coffee tasted terrible. I will never be back.

Terrible experience. We just left and chose to take our business to Coastal Baking Co. We came in this morning and were told to go to the counter and she would instruct us from there. There was currently a wait going and we wanted to get our names on the list. There was a couple behind us also waiting and a server came and told them she could seat them, as they were a party of two. When I told her we had been waiting for a table as well, she told us we’d have to put our names on the list. Sorry, but that’s no way to run a business.

WE Had the bagel and lox for breakfast. Had enough to a share with my wife. Her cappuccino was delicious as well as my iced tea. Service was quick and extremely friendly. Staff advice accurate and forth coming

Waitresses and staff were amazing as they made sure all were served with a packed house upon opening at 9am...

Food was fine and our server was really nice, but she wasn’t wearing a face covering which made me uncomfortable and shouldn’t be acceptable in the midst of a pandemic. Also witnessed some not-so-sanitary handling of things such as touching rims of drinking cups when they were set on the table, as well as salt and pepper being taken from our table directly to another table nearby. It’s a cute place but if you’re at high risk of catching covid-19, I’d recommend waiting to dine at this place til cases aren’t so prevalent in the area.

Absolutely amazing coffee and my crab cake sandwich and potato salad was very delicious! It was the best crab cake I have ever eaten. The customer service is excellent. I would highly recommend!

I would give this place a 0 star review if I could. My friend and I came in here to get a latte and were treated terribly by the man behind the counter (Marshall, I'm looking at you). He was overly condescending and a complete jerk about the drinks we ordered- which was a chai latte. I mean, Marshall, come on, it's just milk with chai concentrate put into it. Absolutely nothing to get worked up about.

Don't even go to this place, there are many other coffee shops that are just as good, and treat their customers how they should be treated. I will now name some of those places: Coastal Baking Co., The Bakery on Mason, The Almeta... Honestly, just go to McDonalds, you're guaranteed a better experience.

In all seriousness, I've never felt that disrespected in an establishment in my life.

Per our eleven year old - ‘It was the best breakfast I have ever had in my life!’ Seven year old agrees. First time to Cape Charles and randomly picked up breakfast on our way home and it was truly fabulous! Highly recommend!
