Cape Charles Coffee House

Food was delicious, loved the old building. The wait time to get a table and then to get your food is terrible. Definitely need more help. Alot of unused space.

Cozy breakfast/lunch place that also serves coffee and espresso beverages. Delicious food and friendly service.

Barista was very personable and friendly and had a great recommendation for us, shown in picture, it's called the Café Cape Charles! It was a really nice atmosphere to walk into and the coffee was excellent and prices were very affordable. 5 stars from us!

My husband and I stopped in for Coffee the one day and our family had a wonderful breakfast the last day of our trip. It was a good old fashioned breakfast , all the staff were pleasant and nice. We appreciate you guys being open and the consistent hours you have. It is not easy for small businesses today. We will definitely return next time we are in Cape Charles.

Boyfriend and I came in for coffee- ended up wishing we didn’t!

The man at the counter (Marshall) did not seem to want to help us whatsoever. We ordered our drinks, and he proceeded to bang around, slam the fridge door, etc. While the espresso was brewing, I asked if they had oat milk, as I prefer dairy alternatives. He replied to me with an extremely rude tangent where he elevated his voice and continued to talk over me: “Can you just tell me what you want so I can make it for you? Do you want oat milk or do you want to just continue asking questions? Just tell me what you want and I will make it for you!” I calmly replied saying I just needed to know if they had oat milk, because not everyone does. He then replies with “You want oat milk, I’ll give you oat milk,” and takes the container out of the fridge and slams it on the counter.

The whole encounter was completely shocking and uncomfortable. I couldn’t recommend this establishment less to anyone who appreciates a minimum level of customer service.

Everything about this place is amazing! The staff is AMAZING and the food is delicious. Try the grits- they are freaking awesome.

I had the pleasure of spending a couple of days in Cape Charles VA to shop and wander. The coffee house was a great breakfast spot with good food and service. The building is absolutely stunning! I will be back!

I really really want to give a better review, but honestly 3 stars is for the wait staff and the actual food (once we got it). We went on a moderately busy Wednesday morning (still no wait to sit) and it took over an hour for our food to come out after ordering. I don't think our table was skipped, the kitchen was just incredibly slow. Our waitress and the two younger bussing staff were very pleasant and I feel bad that they probably got the brunt of it.

Great building i wanted to love it, unfortunately it was dirty and the service was bad. The server was slow and did not write our order down (add lettuce and tomato to a grilled cheese, no bun on the burger) and the food was delivered wrong. No big deal but she never checked back until we got our check. We came in because the food in the pictures looks amazing. I guess breakfast must be better than lunch. We were told it was to late for breakfast so we got what was offered. The food was ok but no place near the quality of the food in the pictures.
