Cape Charles Coffee House

This place looked elegant and menu had good soup/sandwich options, but we over-heard that there was a 45min wait for food (which is absolutely no problem if that is the case, we just need to know to make a call on whether we can wait). When we asked the manager to confirm the situation, he was the most rude and obnoxious person we have ever encountered in an establishment - and totally unnecessary. And coming from NYC to this quiet, friendly town, that’s a special achievement. Pity because everything else looked good.

Perfect small hometown experience! Food was tasty, on point and super fast! The staff was awesome! They came around and chatted, made you feel at home and were right on top of everything. Super clean too!

Great little spot for breakfast on my way up the eastern shore. The place was very busy and it took a while to get staff's attention but once we had someone we were all set. The food was great and the service was professional and thoughtful. Looking forward to being in Cape Charles again later this year; I'm sure we'll stop in for at least one meal.

The best oat milk latte I have had in a while and the owner has a charming personality! I had to get a latte each day were in Cape Charles for vacation! It was definitely a highlight!

The food and the atmosphere was great! I ordered the chocolate crossiant and the yogurt parfait. That parfait was amazing! My friends ordered the vanilla latte and liked it as well.

The inside looks nice, but we sat outside since it was a beautiful day out. The person that originally brought us our menus was very nice, but the service quickly declined after that. The food was brought out with no condiments or syrup with the French toast, had to take from another table that was being cleared off. They never came out to check to see how the meal was or to see if we needed more drinks. We asked for the check and after 20 mins of sitting there we just went in to pay at the register. The food was very good i'll give them that, but the bloody Mary was horrible.

Service 0 star- the man behind the counter, Marshall, was extremely rude and seems to genuinely hate interfacing with customers.
Cleanliness 2 star- area behind the counter is very unorganized and messy. This may have contributed to Marshall’s bad mood since he was constantly tripping over stuff.
Taste- 4 star for coffee.

Will spend my hard earned money elsewhere.

The trick on a busy weekend is to arrive about twenty minutes before they open and join the line that is probably forming. There's a crowd for a reason; it's worth it. Get a Bloody Mary or a mimosa with delicious coffee and tasty breakfast fare. Friendly staff and fun environment. We stop by every year while we're in town.
