Next Door Bake Shop

The construction made this place impossible to get to. Only 15 min parking available. After we drove around for about 10 minutes we had to park in the take out/ delivery only spot. Once we got in, the place was closed with a handwritten sign with summer hours from 8am to 4pm. Super bummed all around. We were looking forward to trying this place for the first time.

The food is delicious, the coffee is alright for the price, but the service is cold and dismissive. I felt like a burden coming into the store at lunch time on a weekend.

I have been to next door bake shop many times and I just love the place. I am moving away so I want to give next door bake shop my feedback.

Their Panini selections are amazing as well as bake goods. My favorite are Asian Chipotle and Sunrise breakfast sandwich. I like to go for a quick lunch or coffee break with my friends. The owner is always very sweet and the staffs are nice and consistent. I will definitely be back next time I visit Blacksburg.

Ordered cupcakes for a baby shower. The cup cakes looked great. My favorite was the marbled chocolate and vanilla. My daughter loved the oreo cookie cupcakes.
I recommend the baked goods. They even had gluten free.

Love their everything bagel sandwiches and coffee. Very chill and relaxing place to do homework or study. Sometimes the food takes a while to come out. Besides that i love this cute shop!

Why I didn't discover NDBS when I was a student at VT, I don't know. This is a gem of a shop - I stopped in over the weekend of the Hokie Half to get some studying done, and it's everything you could want in a college coffeehouse. The espresso was excellent, well-priced, and although I didn't get any of the baked goods, they looked (and smelled) delicious.

I know where I'm stopping for coffee whenever I'm back in B'burg. Don't be like me, try this place sooner!

This place is excellent. For a couple of semesters I was going to another coffee shop near VT, and the people there weren't always friendly. After two visits to Next Door, the people called me by name and remembered my drink order. I'll never stop going!

Of all of the restaurants in town, this is one of two (the other being 622) that I will miss when I leave. It is my go-to coffee shop! The staff is awesome, the baked goods are great (cupcakes are way better than Gobblecakes', and cheaper), the sandwiches and drinks are reliably delicious.

I'm looking forward to trying Social House.

The BEST COOKIES ever. Everyone should have one of these cookies at least once in your life! - Seriously - any of the cookies; it doesn't matter what you think you like, all of the cookies are amazing! The sandwiches and drinks are delicious as well , but the cookies will blow your mind.

This place is great for a cup of coffee and a pastry or a sandwich and a smoothie. The atmosphere is friendly, and they are often pretty busy, but you can order any food to go. A great find in Blacksburg!
