Next Door Bake Shop

Came here on a Saturday morning, waited 30 minutes ,literally for a croissant and latte. That was nuts. Way too long wait time.

I have worked with Next Door Bake Shop both personally and professionally and my experiences have always been great. Pie always goes above and beyond with our orders making sure they not only taste good but look beautiful.

Can always count on a huge smile and wonderful food that is consistently on point! The variety of breakfast sandwiches is amazing, best bagels in town!

The Taro Milk Tea served here was unequivocally the worst boba tea I have ever consumed. While the atmosphere of the shop was warm and inviting, the drink was anything but. My first sip was full of icy chunks that watered down the drink and made the process of drinking the boba unpleasant. Moreover, the boba straw was far too short to adequately reach the bottom of the 24oz container, with the straw falling through the hole and into the cup on more than one occasion. Last, the lack of customization options compared to other boba shops meant that my drink not only came out icy and thick, but also considerably less sweet than any other boba I’ve ever had. Disappointed is an understatement.

Next Door Bake Shop is my favorite coffee shop in Blacksburg! I have been coming here for years and they continue to have the best coffee, sandwiches, and bakery items -- everything is fresh and full of flavor and there are SO many options to choose from. Their iced fresh coconut latte is my favorite! They have such a wide selection of drinks, I love coming here to try their new seasonal flavors. They also have the BEST bagel sandwiches. I recently tried the hot honey sriracha bagel and it was absolutely perfect. Service here is always amazing and everyone is so polite and accommodating. The pricing on everything is a win -- great inexpensive options for high quality food and drinks! This place is a MUST!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Ordered the green curry chicken soup/bread bowl with a friend. When we got the soup, it was cold so we asked them to reheat it. It took a bit to come out, and when we received the soup it just wasn’t very good.

Also the inside does not feel clean, the chairs and tables are sticky/stained, and the staff was eating in the kitchen. Doesn’t make me feel confident that the food was prepared correctly.

Don’t plan to come back

Variety of delicious sandwiches, bubble teas, pastries ! Very comfortable seating area to work on your computer as well as a play area for the kids and some cross and knot game space. Has a very artistic interior which definitely give the positive vibes!

Best coconut latte in town. I love this place. The staff is lovely, the atmosphere is so pleasant, and the bagel sandwiches and pastries are delicious.

Very accommodating and welcoming service. Cake turned out spectacular on short notice. Will be back!
