Some other reviewers mentioned the quality of the burger here, so I'm just going to echo their thoughts and jump on the burger bandwagon. It's great, definitely one of the best I've ever had.

I can't even. My pregnant bestie and I stopped in here on a quick whim because the bump demanded it. We split a burger. ...... Folks, this was the best burger we've ever had, hands down. We were wonderfully surprised.

Ordered from here while stretching our legs yesterday on the way to New Hampshire. Me and the wife will be stopping on the way back. Me and the wife have had thousands of burgers from all different proclaimed “burger joints” and the village roost has put all the others to shame. This is the best burger me and my wife have ever had hands down. And don’t stop here without trying their delicious home made fries as well. Highest quality ingredients are used in everything and the proof is in the flavor profiles of the food. Thanks, and see you again soon.

Had the homemade yogurt and granola. Very tasty! Multiple folks picking up pies and desserts for Thanksgiving, and the homemade cranberry sauce looked awesome. They have an area where you can build a gift basket with locally sourced soaps, maple syrup, pasta, etc. It definitely seems like a local spot integral to the town.

Absolutely love this place! If you’re in town for breakfast and like a little spice I highly recommend the breakfast Sammich!

While I was away in Vermont, I came here every day to write and do work. The staff was incredibly friendly and the coffee was superb. I loved hanging out here and especially loved the music selection.

Was there for a morning latte, it was delicious as was the muffin I had. Quaint little spot with some great VT items in it's store.

Wonderful people, delicious food, and a beautiful place to enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee and pick up some gifts or souvenirs.

Even if you're just passing through, I highly recommend stopping in at The Village Roost for a bit.

I have to add that the wrap sandwich I got was one of the most delicious meals I have eaten till date!

Absolutely delightful spot - beautiful large room to enjoy a coffee/muffin. And the lunch menu looked so good we came back (highly recommend the Vietnamese beef roll!)
