Spent three months living in Vermont and probably came here for lunch 8 times. Sandwiches, soups, and fries are delicious and they have many pastry options as well as a full coffee bar. Great for vegetarians. Staff is friendly and food always comes within 10 minutes.

Sandwiches and burgers, not meals with veggies and no soups or salads. French fries and sandwiches good. Back dining room with fireplace, couches, chair very nice with lot of windows, including to porch where people dining with 🐕. Brownie to go rich and tasty.

A MUST place to visit in VT. I had a pleasure to have great homemade meal , an excellent coffee and amazing pastry (and I am not too big on the sweets). The atmosphere is just cozy. The staff was friendly with the biggest smiles ever. Sure I will visit The Village Roost again! Thank you!

The best gluten-free wrap I’ve had! It was the shazza (falafel, hummus, tomatoes, lettuce, some yummy spicy sauce, etc). Also, the most amazingly delicious gluten-free almond -raspberry bar… I wish you were in Somerville!

Great food and coffee but the line can be outrageous. They stop serving breakfast to early (11am) on the weekend and are VERY strict with ordering breakfast not a minute past 11. We drove an hour to get breakfast here, arrived a few minutes before 11, and the rude girl at the register said it was too late. Knowing that we were going to arrive so close to 11, I actually confirmed with them on the phone it would be ok, only to arrive and be told lunch only.

❤️ The Roost! It's what makes Wilmington, well, Wilmington. Wilmington is one of Southern Vermont's MOST charming towns. I lived (off and on) in nearby South Newfane from 1979-2004, so you do the math! 😁

Great place in Wilmington. Organic Coffee and foods with small tables up front for small parties. Large tables in back for larger groups. Not to mention a friendly staff.
