COVID 2021 REVIEW:
Like most popular places in Vermont, you need to call before getting a spot there. There are a few places at the bar and plenty of tables for the small space in the café. A little more than a dozen guests could fit in the space (from the area I could see).
The menu covers most things you could ask for and has gluten free options at a small small upcharge. There is a lot of options to add on, and the staff will ask you for what is normally good with things, such as adding peppers and onions to an order of home fries.
Coffee is quite fine! Very fresh and not served at a rolling boil so you can drink it soon enough. Black coffee alone was nice, but it can be even smoother with the maple syrup they serve in a nice squeeze bottle. It looks like malt vinegar at first, but its just syrup!
Prices are fair for the region. They could be noted as competitive; with Mary's being about a dollar or so less than other places.
This is a local spot, and the staff is well connected and relaxed. Having a smaller guest total allows them to attend to what you need and not rush you for a turn over.

First-time visitor to this diner. Really enjoyed their breakfast offerings. Waitresses were friendly and very attentive. Food is cooked to order but the wait wasn't too long. Will return again!

5 stars! Always 5 stars!!!
Best wait staff in the state only matched by the easy on the bank account prices.

The service is so slow and it isn't because they are understaffed. They would take their time clearing tables, not in a rush. One woman muttered to herself she doesn't know when tables are ready because how long do people eat for. If you are running a restaurant business you must know table turnover time. Apparently I had ordered lunch take out from here years ago and it also took forever and I vowed to never bother again. I had forgotten.

Great breakfast & efficient, friendly staff. The biscuits are regional: cornmeal & very different from southern, but good. Lovely, strong coffee.

Fresh good ole-fashioned home cooking reasonably priced with clean charming cozy tables. Pleasant accomodating waitstaff. If you get the daily special, very little wait time. If you're reminiscing with old friends or family, you're not rushed out the door..
