We had a wonderful breakfast sandwich cooked perfectly, great coffee and a freshly baked maple walnut cookie for the road. Great food, great service and definitely a great place to eat. We seriously considered a creemee but we were too full and happy.

Waited 1 hour for a bagel and oatmeal while others who ordered after me received their food. Inefficient and food is marginal. Stowe really needs more breakfast establishments.

Great sandwiches but really busy - especially during tourist season - so expect to wait in line for a little while.

It’s rare to find a carefully crafted breakfast sandwich, but such a treat when you find it. Don’t let this cute little cafe fool you, there is a real chef in the kitchen cooking your food and it shows. I highly recommend having a bite here while you’re in Stowe, you won’t regret it.

If you find yourself visiting Stowe, do yourself a favor and stop into Café On Main. As a local I find myself there multiple times a week, whether it be for breakfast, a bowl of soup, or my all time favorite, their pumpkin spice lattes.
Everyone there is kind and welcoming, you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Café on Main. We placed an online to-go order for breakfast and lunch. I made a request to wrap the lunch sandwiches tightly as we would be carrying them with us on a hike of Mt Mansfield. We were met with not only phenomenal sandwiches, but personalized notes that made our day. We highly recommend Café on Main and will continue to visit on our trips to Stowe.

This place is amazing. I've lived in Stowe nearly my entire life and have never been mostly because it gets so crowded on the weekend. After going today I can easily say this is the best sandwich shop in town. They serve those delicious, one of a kind sandwiches that have you wishing for more. The staff is nice, fast, and make really thick sandwiches. The owner is local and cares about the town and the people that live here all year around. It's why this place has gotten such liking from tourists. It really is authentic, delicious, and local food. I give Cafe on Main my highest recommend.

To begin with, it is understandable that an order can be forgotten in the food service industry. What is not understandable, however, is the unfriendly demeanor of the counter person and the rude response given when you ask when your food will be ready since there were many people with similar orders after you getting their orders before you. She very loudly told us that this was their busiest day of the year and we would just have to wait and then huffed and ignored us. To be honest, all this person needed to do was apologize and let us know she would check on our order. This particular woman working for this cafe most likely hates her job and shouldn't be dealing with the public. The food was adequate at best and certainly not worth the rude service.

We stopped here looking for breakfast, but made a regular turkey sandwich our breakfast...it was the best decision of the day! The turkey club was so good and the Vermonter latte was amazing! We got it with an extra shot of espresso because it can be a little sweet. We will be back!

Crazy busy during fall foliage!
