Betty's Cafe

Home cooked breakfast offered here at our stop. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the way they were chatting with other patrons I got the impression this is truly a community oriented business. The food was pretty good and the coffee was a little weak (but I like strong coffee). The prices were reasonable. They are not in a hurry so if you want fast, you may be disappointed but the wait isn't unbearable - we only waited 15 - 20 minutes or so.

Simply amazing value for money to be sure!!! If you eat here two things eat the potatoes first & try the raspberry jam!

Come hungry because the portions are huge and the prices are right. I had Betty's meal with ham, potatoes, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. This is a great place to sit down and catch up with someone. The service was good and it had that small town diner vibe, where the likes of Andy Griffith would like to eat.

Best breakfast EVER! You had better get the potatoes! Total game changer!

We stopped here for lunch on our way out of Dinosaur National Monument. My wife had the #6 with a short stack of pancakes, bacon, and one egg scrambled. She said it was perfectly done, and delicious. I had the ham and cheese omelet with potatoes and toast. Again, it was perfectly done and tasted delicious. The toast was particularly amazing, it was thick cut swirl rye. Yum.

The decor of the place, both inside and out, is pretty plain, but acceptable. My biggest (only?) complaint is that they serve Pepsi rather than Coke products. But overall, a great place for a delicious meal. Next time we're in Vernal we'll be stopping at Betty's again

Come hungry! Breakfasts are plentiful and filling. Chicken fried steak was perfect, breaded on site and not deep fried. Delicious! Strawberry jam is homemade goodness. Enjoy the local vibe, everyone knows each other.
Returned 5.19.19, still one of the best chicken fried steak! Great atmosphere, great service, can't wait for a return visit.

Best omelette I ever ate, hands down. Nice place to eat. If in vernal you should go here.

For arriving on a Sunday, they took care of us quickly.

Cozy, clean, friendly, and delicious. This place had everything I hoped to find in a small town diner. I had heard great things about the food quality from the locals. That is always a reliable source in my book. They were correct, as usual. If you are looking for good, down home, made from scratch food, then this place is for you.
