My son said his chicken fried steak breakfast was really good. Everyone else got the breakfast buffet and it was awful. French toast was hard to chew. The sausage was burnt. Everything was pretty inedible.

The young ladies working this past Friday and Saturday evening were extremely quick and friendly. They had my garlic bread waiting for me when I got to my table after getting the salad bar.

It is a old none update restaurant in the middle of no where. But and it is a big BUT the food was incredible. We got a Meat Lover Omelette with Country Potatoes and Double Cheeseburger. I was not expecting much because of the reason that he's in the middle of nowhere. But everything was cooked at the moment it was fresh (and when I mean fresh it doesn't mean that it was not frozen meat) at the flavor was really extremely good. On top of that you get the friendly amazing country customer service. Sorry if you definitely get offended by phrases like sweetie, honey babe this is not the restaurant for you because the ladies that help you serve your food they are really really kind people.

We're just driving through and stopped by for brunch. I feel bad because the server provided excellent service but she was by herself and had a ton of work to deal with all alone. It took a bit longer then normal to get our food but I could completely understand the situation. I am thankful that she's very professional and handled the situation very well and if we ever get a chance to return we definitely will. The food was hot and good, the service was excellent.

We were recently on a vacation in Vernal and my husband saw this place. It triggered all sorts of nostalgia from his childhood because he used to eat there back in the day and he remembered the breakfasts fondly. So, we decided to go.
First, let me say the place looks like someone built it in the early 1990s, then looked around really self-satisfied like and said, "It's perfect. Never touch it again." And no one ever has. The furnishings are outdated, the chairs are uncomfortable, the tables are disgusting, and it would take an act of god to get me to touch the salad bar. The place smells like a thrift store because it's so old, unclean, and hasn't been remodeled since that one self-satisfied person said, "It's perfect. Never touch it again."
Wish granted, dude.
Secondly, the wait staff took an eternity. We celebrated both of my kid's birthdays and two years of Christmases before we were served. Then, when we got our food, we discovered that all four of our meals were incorrect, and instead of fixing them we were told by the waitress to just "swap with each other" for what we want. Our potatoes weren't cooked, our eggs were uncooked, there was no flavor. I asked for no mushrooms and that's basically all I got (no exaggeration). All I ate was a piece of toast. My kids were sick all night, my husband's stomach was upset.
Then, after not eating this food, my husband goes to pay. The lady asks how we enjoyed our food. My husband tells her that they screwed up all of our orders and our food was so uncooked it wasn't edible, and our waitress never returned so we couldn't complain at the time or send our food back. The lady at the register gave us a whopping $5 off. So we still ended up paying $60 for food WE COULD NOT EAT, in a REVOLTING restaurant, served by a wait staff who had no idea how to reasonably do their job in any sense of the word. Raw potatoes, wrong eggs, food we didn't ask for, in an unclean, moldy smelling restaurant. None of us ate a bit. So we spent $60 on food we couldn't eat, and immediately went to Walmart and bought actual *edible* food.
I understand that Vernal is a small town, but nostalgia and a salad bar steeped in germs is not the way to go.
You'd be better served dumpster diving for your food.

I was very excited to see a JBs as I'm from out of state and was here for work. The service SUCKED. I sat for quite a while before getting my water. I ordered French toast and waited a ridiculous amount of time for it. Server never came back to my table. Someone from the kitchen brought it. And it was barely warm at best. It had a sour taste, like the eggs were bad if something. The server never once came to my table, but she was at the other tables in the section. I was quiet, pleasant, and friendly so there's no reason for this girl to just act like i wasn't sitting right there.
Anyway, i gave up, went to the front to pay, with no ticket. Lady has a attitude because i didn't wait on a ticket. No apologies, empathy, or even slight concern that the food was awful and the service was worse. No discount, no nothing.
Don't waste your time. This place is a joke!

Beast breakfast place in Vernal hands down. One would think the mom n pops would be better, they're not. I spent 4 days here at a conference and ate at both the mom n pops...not impressed with them. JBs is great!

We went here because I loved JBs as a kid. I got the chicken parmesan with the salad bar. Basically a chicken tender and spaghetti covered with marinara sauce. The pasta was complete mush -- way overdone. The restaurant is in pretty sorry shape, unfortunately, and looks like it needed some maintenance years ago. Broken windows held together by duct tape, the booths are falling apart, beaten up plastic plants everywhere... Really could use some loving care. Our service was not great. Overall, I would not recommend this spot, there are many better places to eat in Vernal.

I ordered the Belgian Waffle. It was the soggiest waffle I have ever ate. The eggs and bacon were mediocre at best. This wasn’t a good eating experience and for the price I expected much better.
