Just passing through on the way to Vegas, baby.. Awesome staff, atmosphere and food. Their cinnamon buns are huge. Worth the trip. Support your local mom and pop shops

What a total disappointment 😪 I ordered the half of sandwich and bowl of soup...first of all, it was not a bowl of soup, it was a cup of soup. It was supposed to be loaded potato soup but was thin and flavorless consisting of 3 tiny pieces of potatoes. I had to salt and pepper it to even get any flavor worth eating. The grilled cheese was equally pathetic with the tiny little bit of cheese not even being melted. I nearly started laughing because it was so lackluster for the ridiculous price of $8.99. I had always heard it was very good but I will not be returning. On the bright side of this horrible experience...my husband liked his burger but again, there was a small amount of undercooked French fries...so very disappointing 😞

If I could give Mom's Cafe more than five stars, I would do it in a heartbeat.
I'm always on a quest to see if places can live up to the hype. Mom's is one of those rare gems that is worthy of every single glowing review.
If you want delicious, home cooked comfort food, this is the place for you. If you need organic/gourmet options and like to be fawned over, you'll probably want to look elsewhere.
My husband had the chicken fried steak, and I had a jalapeno burger. My burger was well cooked, and the portion of fresh cut fries was exactly the right amount of food.
My husband's chicken fried steak was the star of the show. He started with the best cream of broccoli soup I've ever had. The breading on the steak was seasoned and fried to perfection. The mashed potatoes - something my husband and I both normally skip - were gobbled up quickly. The scone (the Utah version, not the British variety) was a delicious added bonus.
Despite being far too full, we ordered a slice of blueberry sour cream pie. The slice was almost as big as the plate it was on, and we were so glad we didn't pass on dessert.
I will dream about Mom's Cafe for years to come.

Great little place to eat. Good food and the employees are friendly and treats you like family.

Such a disappointment! Wouldn't take reservations for 12. We had cold mashed potatoes, ran out of vegetables, few didn't get scones, very disorganized!! Not the Mom's I remember, do better!

Very friendly. Nice food. A must stop if in area.

In the small town of Salina there are limited dining options and I prefer to support the small local spots if I can. This particular visit wasn't my first so I can say the food is good, service tends to lean to the average as this particular visit I came and sat only to leave having never been greeted, given a menu or water or anything. Seems they too struggle with either quality or enough staffing. Better luck next time...

Home cooked meal- made with love. Amazing servers . Exceptional cooks. Small home town diner feel! Try a scone with the homemade honey butter ! If you visit on a Tuesday don’t miss out on the tomato bisque soup - my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Great portions for the price in this crazy economical times! 5+ stars ⭐️
