I can’t believe I didn’t hear of this place sooner! It has a really fun atmosphere and you can tell a lot of history. The food was pretty good but it’s pretty obvious that Joe is the reason the business has been so successful. When I was there Joe walked in about halfway through our meal and made sure everyone knew he was there! Ha ha a young guy and girl were checking out and he made the guy pay for the girl even though they said they were just friends. It was super entertaining! It is super refreshing to see people like Joe who are exactly what you see is what you get.

I'm 10 years old and I ate at Joe's Cafe and it was the best food ever. If you need someone to make you laugh, Joe is the one to make you laugh and smile. There is breakfast and lunch and it is in Orem,Utah. Their staff is amazing I would go back again. Let's just say,Thank you Joe and his staff for the amazing service and food and they are sooooo nice and hilarious 😂

The food was awesome. The staff were friendly. The dining experience was just okay.
I ordered the Denver omelette with a short stack. The omelette was hearty and filled with so many toppings. It was like a deep dish omelette. I liked the unique donut like pancakes. Their flavor was buttery and delicious.
I was bumped into many times because the inside space is so small. The ordering line is too close to tables. Also I was seated out front and the traffic was loud.

Cute little mom-and-pop style Cafe in a city with so few independent restaurants. Really cool atmosphere, love the Polaroids on the walls. Food is yummy. Fresh made diner food, I particularly enjoy their French toast and their grits (and I don't even like grits!) They did bring everyone their food out independently from one another, which left those of us served first in the awkward spot of having to either eat in front of out comrades or risk our food getting cold while waiting for the last plate to arrive. Otherwise, no complaints!

An amazing hidden gem! Driven past this place 1000 times and never really noticed it until I had a friend recommend it to me recently, and I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this place! The best grits I’ve ever had, which is so surprising for Orem, UT! They’re sweet grits, unlike any others I’ve had. I want to buy in bulk and keep them in my fridge 😂 We also had the French toast and biscuits and gravy, which were both amazing as well. Can’t wait to try more things on the menu! Such a cute place and the service is top notch, everyone was incredibly kind. Thank you Joe’s Cafe!

What a delight.
I got Ana’s Omelet and it was delicious. It came out SUPER hot and stayed hot until I was finished. Wonderful.
My girlfriend got the Breakfast Sandwich, which was so good she stopped talking while she ate. It was even better than the omelet.
I also got a side of pancakes instead of toast, which we split, and they were great. Their little size makes them tastier.
What really won me over here was all the photos of Joe with friends and customers. A few were of Joe and his family—at home, on a hike, at church—not doing anything related to the restaurant but being a family who runs a family business. The family seemed to be working when we went in and you can tell all of the staff have fun together. It’s a busy, bustling place and a delight.
Additionally, their coffee was excellent. The expectation for coffee at any diner is as low as it goes, but Joe’s is the best diner coffee I’ve had.
Joe himself bussed our plates and thanked us for coming. It was a great time being there and witnessing the community of people eating and serving and enjoying themselves.
I couldn’t recommend Joe’s Cafe more and I can’t wait to go back.

It was my first time there, and the cook gave me free Grits, first time having them and they were amazing. The Omelet was fantastic as well! An amazing place even though a waitress accidentally spilled on me.

I arrived and saw a busy place and was excited to try it out. I see several open tables outside with the Mountain View’s. I ask someone if I just grab a table or if there’s a list and already, the rudeness starts. “Oh no, there’s a ton of people ahead of you”. I look around and don’t see that many folks waiting but ok. Another young lady explains to me that people call ahead and are on the list, so I’m like …ok. She puts me on the list and I ask for a table outside. So tip #1 if you want to try it- call ahead.
So I wait and watch people pull up in their cars and get seated before me because they called ahead. Again, fine.
I get a text that my table is ready and I go inside to check, and a server says “follow me”. I follow him a few feet and then he stops to grab a menu and utensils. And I wait for him to start walking again. Instead he looks at me like I’m crazy, and then hands me the menu and utensils. And says my table is outside but motions towards the other side of the restaurant. What I didn’t know is there are tables on the parking lot side as well, outside, but no views.
So I sit down at the nice clean table, and the server comes out and says, “oh no, not here. Let’s put you over there.” (If he had showed me where my table was in the first place this could have been avoided.) Instead, he wanted me to sit at the other table that people just got up from, full of dirty plates and utensils. I didn’t understand why, he didn’t say why. At this point, my experience here was done.

Went for breakfast today with a friend and instantly felt at home. Joe welcomes you with open arms, and the atmosphere and feel of a restaurant is a big part of why it's a great place. This diner is what I envision a sterotypical diner: pretty small and quaint, homey atmosphere, with a chef full of heart and soul. Joe's the best. We got Ana's omelette and Joe's omelette. Joe's had jalapenos, and I love spice, so I likes them a lot. I did like Ana's better, it had chicken. Yum. He recommended the grits, so I went with it. Not my cup of tea- but I am assuming I just don't like grits. This was my first time having them, and they were pretty sweet (his special recipe I assume) and my savory omelette was the a good mix with it. Tried his special juice, and it was great! A lemonade kinda drink, I thought I tasted a watermelon flavor in there too but can't be sure. Never knew this place existed and it opened right when I moved to the area, about 10 years ago. Definitely give it a try. Great portion sizes. I saw the French toast and know I have to come back for them.
