The vibe here is full of love. Joe and the staff are so kind and make you feel apart of the family. The inside of the restaurant is full of pictures which is super cute! When we ordered, our food was out within 15 minutes so the service was fast.
I got the breakfast burrito which was tasty. The hash browns were definitely the star of the dish.

I had the pastrami sandwich which had a great combination of flavors between the grilled onions, pastrami and cheese. The bread had a nice crunchy exterior. It was a great sandwich. The chips were also quite crunchy and had less salt than chips usually do. A pickle spear was a nice part of the expected deli experience.
The place has changed since my last visit many years ago. I don't know if Joe is still involved. He was definitely not there, and i missed interacting with him.

There is a lot of hype surrounding Joe’s Cafe and I was excited to get to try it. Ultimately I was let down. The food here is okay, but nothing special. I got the biscuits and gravy and they were passable, but nothing to rant and rave over. The gravy is a turkey gravy, which I assumed would mean turkey sausage, but it was just plain ground turkey. If there was any seasoning to it I could not taste it. I also got a side of hash browns for $5.50 and it was so small. I assumed I’d be getting a decent amount of potatoes for $5.50. I understand they have to make money, but it was ridiculous.
On a brighter note, my wife really enjoyed her Belgian waffle. It was very delicious. The service was also good and the servers were very attentive and quick to help with any request. Overall, an average experience with nothing too great or too terrible.

The cook learned that we didn’t order the grits and it’s our first time there. So, he gave us a small cup sample of it. It was my first time eating grits and I’m definitely getting a bowl of that next time! Huge portion sizes. One of the better diners/American breakfast food places I’ve been to.

My wife and I decided to try Joe's on Nov 15th based upon the Google reviews and we weren't disappointed. It's a fun little place with character and a friendly, helpful staff. I ordered the waffle and my wife ordered the french toast (see the photos). I don't know when we have ooo'ed and ah'd so much over a breakfast meal. The fruit was perfectly fresh and all so delicious. I was also given a small bowl of grits. Never tried them before, but now I'm a believer. By the way, they are very flexible. For example, if you don't want all 3 fruits, butter, whipped cream, sweetened-condensed milk and powdered sugar on your waffle (maybe you're not ready to die and go to heaven), they are happy to remove what you don't want. Great experience.

The food was amaaaaaze. The breakfast sandwich with avocado was highly recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The French toast with fresh fruit was also so good! Such nice servers too

Had a great time here at the cafe. Got seated quickly and we had a great waiter. We ordered the waffles and breakfast burrito. The waffles tasted delicious and the burrito was huge! The owners Joe and Anason are the kindest people over. Will be back!

I had great service and the food was delicious! It felt very cozy and I loved all the photos on the walls. It was an awesome place to sit and eat with my friend! I loved the little pot of cream instead of needing to use a bunch of the little plastic cups. Highly recommend!

Southern Cooking in the heart of Orem Utah is unique. It is a hole in the wall with incredible food and service. Joe and his family truly make the experience by greeting every customer with passion. The biscuits and gravy are GREAT however the grits are better.

Just an overall great place with awesome southern hospitality. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the food was quick and delicious (with very large portions). Definitely an Orem gem!
