Fabled Bookshop & Cafe

One of the best bookshops in Texas! What makes it great? A smaller but more curated selection of books, beautiful merchandise, lots of seating to peruse books, a good coffee shop, and friendly staff. What else could you ask for? As a DFW resident, I’d probably take the time to travel down and shop at this bookstore.

This is my favorite independent bookstore in Texas, and probably the whole country. There are so many comfortable nooks and crannies to curl up with a new book. Every display is so carefully curated, you can't help but want to buy something from every subject. All the staff members I encountered were so pleasant and helpful and were able to recommend books based on what I was interested in. Make sure to try a coffee or tea from the cafe, as well. I especially enjoyed the Honey Pot and Turkish Delight, both literary specials on their menu. The only negative is that it can get really busy, especially with college students from Baylor, but it's still worth a visit!

It would be tough to find a better curated or more friendly bookshop. Cannot recommend stopping here enough. A must see!

I inallt made it to Fabled and can't wait to go back! The entire place is set up and decorated SO cute! The staff was all great and really nice.

We stayed for a storyline even though my kids were older than the listed story time age and they still had so much fun, they got a coloring page and a snack.

We got some of their themed drinks from the coffee shop too! Such a great experience!

Honey Pot Latte is delicious, staff is so friendly, the environment is warm and comfy. Love it.

My favorite bookshop, period. Not so big and commercial but with enough tomes for any bibliophile. The staff, including the coffee shop, is super friendly and the coffee is perfect. Lots of couches and tables to sit and enjoy.

Beautiful bookstore. We especially loved the children’s section. A must-visit for all book wyrms!

Great ambiance, decently priced coffee, and fantastic service. Great place to stop in for a cup of Joe or a specialty book-themed drink. In addition, they have a great selection of books with a rotating display of current best sellers. Give this place a try!
