Fabled Bookshop & Cafe

Yummy drinks, awesome book selection, and impeccable atmosphere! Plenty of cozy places to sit and read, sip and have a quiet conversation, or just enjoy the experience. The employees were friendly and helpful. I’m from out of town but I came twice on my trip to enjoy this lovely place!

The cutest place ever!! So dreamy! The selection of books + kids stuff + merch is awesome, and the coffee menu seems great too. So glad I walked in during my visit to Waco!

Wow! A real gem and worth the visit whenever in Waco. I particularly enjoyed the large section of thoughtful staff recommendations.. whole some bookstores might have a table or two, Fabled has a massive, incredibly well-curated wing of the store dedicated to it. If you like to browse bookstores and see what strikes your fancy, you'll love Fabled!

Lovely local bookstore. Came in on a whim while we were on a quick overnight trip to a Waco. Little cafe is fun also. I love the personal reviews posted by the individual books.

This bookstore was everything you could ask from a bookstore. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, and the book selection was good. There were some issues with books being out of stock or completely sold out, but I suspect that had more to do with supply shortages than with the store itself. The staff was friendly and helpful without trying to push us into buying anything. I also really enjoyed the "Staff Picks" books and the handwritten notes detailing what made the "Staff Picks" books special. I would visit again if given the chance.

Adorable shop and cafe!! Loved our time browsing here. Employees were enthusiastic and ready to help. Coffee was fantastic (highly recommend the in house honey lavender syrup). Actually went twice in one day on our trip to Waco!

Great place to meet with friends or study alone. Great selection of books; there’s even a really cute (good sized) children’s section that my younger siblings LOVE!! Coffee and food is amazing. Iced vanilla lattes are my favorite! They also have a cool selection of literary inspired drinks which really sets this place apart from anything I’ve ever seen. Really good atmosphere. Staff is also really friendly. My order took a while to get to me one day while they were super busy and when the waitress realized this she apologized and got it right out to me as well as a glass of water free of charge. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite place in the world! Good coffee, beautiful atmosphere morning and night, and beautiful (albeit sometimes niche) book selection! It might not be the place to find a specific book you're looking for, but if you're browsing or just want a quiet place to study, it's perfect. There are also many bookseller reviews which are helpful in finding a good story for you if you want suggestions! AMAZING PLACE!!
