The General Public

I came to enjoy brunch by myself, the staff behind the bar never let me feel that way though. Great service, great personalities, the food was good and the mimosas we good too.

Not sure what to think yet. We were initially ignored by host team and had to flag someone down for a table.
Our food was fantastic; but my crab hushpuppies probably would have tasted better if it had been served hot. The table was half finished by the time I flagged someone down, so mine was lukewarm at best.

I'm definitely willing to try again, the staff seemed pretty friendly.

Awesome happy hour and even more awesome service. Caleb is the best mixologist, request the The Empress and the Afterthought cocktails. I drive from Alamo heights just for my weekend fix :)

The food is so great!!! And the Happy Hour prices are some of the best in town!! The staff are all really nice and inviting...ask for LuLu, best waitress/bartender!!!

This place is awesome! Not only is the food great (butterfly shrimp and grits with crispy brussels sprouts), but the service is even better. Tommy and Caleb are great bartenders! They're personable, genuine, attentive, and pretty much got their sh*t together. They work there on Friday/Saturday nights. The specialty drinks are remarkable, too: Tamarindo tonic with lime juice, Mezcal with lime juice and tajin, prickly-pear drinks, etc. It's a great place to unwind after a hard week. Two thumbs up!!

The bartenders Blake & Caleb were very attentive and friendly. You can tell they enjoy what they do and genuinely want everyone who sits at the bar to feel like a guest in their home. The positivity and lighthearted approach make it a great spot to hang out and have a few drinks on a hot summer day.

First time dinning at General Public. Great food! Prepared by Chef Jackie, nice smile also. JC the bartender very friendly and personable. Good service. I had a great conversation with Jim. Interesting and intelligent man. Enjoyed my lunch time. I will go back.

Mediocre service but the food was really tasty & juicy. Other than that the atmosphere is pretty fun & music is swell.

Small place. Nice seating options. Food was good. Drinks were a little watered down. I do not.like strong drinks but these tasted like flavored water. The bloody Mary was a spicy watery drink.

Awesome!!!! Love this place. 3;00 happy hour had this beautiful margarita $3:00 wonderful. Best food and insanely good Brussel sprouts EVER!!!!
