Blockhouse Coffee & Kitchen

Blockhouse is home away from home for me. From the warm welcome greeting as I walk through the door, to chatting with the baristas, to chowing down on the delicious food offerings, to savoring the amazing lattes, it doesn't get any better than this for a coffee shop!

Blockhouse Coffee & Kitchen is a great place to just go and chill ! Their coffee is of fine quality and they rotate the brands of coffee roasters. This way, you may try different types of aromas and flavors. But wait... What about desserts? They, too, are marvelous with the added bonus of being homemade. Perfect to enjoy with your coffee. Scones, crossaints, brownies, muffins, and cookies, they have it all! Buy a drink and treat yourself to a dessert, and decide if you want sit inside ,or go out to the backyard：)

This is my favorite place in Richmond. Blockhouse has such a vibe and community feeling. I always get the Vietnamese ice coffee :) Appreciate that the owner has made this place so much more than just a coffee shop, it’s a community center with events and space for families

Great coffee, beautiful atmosphere and super nice people. This is going to be my new work spot for sure. I seriously recommend coming here, the prices are competitive and seriously, the people are so nice. They obviously love this place and are so nice. The music is good too :)

This is the spot for a quick bite and great coffee! This place takes the time to do it right. Quality you can taste in the food and see in the presentation.

My first time going to this coffee shop. From the moment I walked in and smelled the aroma of fresh coffee I knew I was going to like it. I ordered a flat white, it was strong enough to keep me going all day, but at the same time very smooth.

Clean and bright space with a small section for kids to play, delicious coffee (my fave is lavendar latte), friendly staff, and food comes out quick.

Blockhouse Coffee really is the best!! I choose them over Starbucks or Dunkin any day of the week! I can taste a difference in the quality of the coffee. The atmosphere is intimate and quiet. I've had almost every food item on their menu; as a clean eater I'm not opposed to any of their food items. Their pastries are fresh and not full of a ton of refined sugar. This quaint restaurant is even kid friendly with their large chalk board to color on and play area in the back courtyard.

Loving it here as always. I never have a poor experience at Blockhouse. Sharing my breakfast sandwich (pictured). This morning I ordered the turkey sandwich on gluten free bread (originally made on a bagel). I asked for a fancy coffee, so the barista made a latte with 3 parts vanilla / 3 parts salted caramel syrup in oatmilk. Fantastic!!

1st timer and I love the atmosphere. Very friendly. Great customer service.
