Higher Grounds Coffee Shop

I love this place! Went with friends and we all got something different. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our pastry and drink choice. Staff is friendly and the price is average. The atmosphere here is very nice! So glad Midland is getting more places like this.

Higher Grounds had a nice laid back atmosphere. Staff was friendly and attentive. The coffee was great and they had a bottomless cup option for $5 which was great too. Lots of extra parking on the side. I didn't order any food but the people I was with did and it looked great. Will definitely go back.

Higher Grounds is the most inviting, laid back coffee shop in town. The owner, Robert, has created an atmosphere where groups can meet in private rooms, individuals can relax, and anyone can enjoy the best coffee in town! This is what a coffee shop should be!

Passing through and decided to stop here for breakfast. Got a vanilla latte and berry banana oatmeal. Both were good. The man who took my order was friendly and funny. Love the atmosphere. I wish there had been music instead of talk radio that I couldn’t really hear and while the seating was comfortable and plentiful the outlets were in short supply. Overall, I liked it and would likely stop here again if passing through.

Wow! I found this place on a whim, and I am throughly impressed. This coffee shop is amazing, the ambiance of this place is incredible, it’s so inviting and cozy, and the coffee and the strawberry rhubarb muffin I had... I have no words, it was all SO delicious and made to perfection. The staff here are so incredibly welcoming and sweet, you have to try this place out!

I’m new to Midland (from Dayton, Ohio), and while I’m getting settled in and looking for an office to rent, it’s was important to find a local coffee shop where I could work from and meet new people...

I hit the jackpot with Higher Grounds Coffee Shop! Not only do they serve great coffee and food, but the space is nicely designed with more than enough room. The music sets a great atmosphere, and the staff is Super Friendly!

If the people in Midland are anything close to the people at Higher Ground, then I’m excited to settle into the community and body here!

Wonderful place to go and get a great cup of coffee or other hot beverage. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. Love that you can come here and even have a bible study or group study. If you even need prayer or someone to talk about problems in your life their is usually someone that will sit with you and help you out. Great parking also for a large group to come and enjoy. I enjoy going and getting some hot cocoa.

This place has a very chill/relaxing atmosphere, the hostess whom had greeted me was soft spoken and nice. I totes would probably want to have coffee here with a friend. There were only three other patrons here at the shop when I arrived roughly 20 minutes before 9:00. I find the layout appealing and the audio was played of a radio at a very reasonable level playing a religious radio station. I can most understand it since the nomenclature of the this establishment was chosen. I’d like to revisit again given the opportunity in the future with the hectic business of my current schedule.

I was in the area and needed a coffee shop close to the hospital. I was so grateful to find this gem. My latte was wonderful, the omelet in a mug was so good, and the service was friendly. The place is clean, nicely decorated and very pleasant. Thanks Higher Grounds!

Best coffee in town! I love the Nutty Irishman. This is also a great place to meet friends or for business. They also have a private room you can book for small meetings.
