Coffee Shop Cafe

Not sure what has happened over the years, but the food has gotten worse. Asked for gravy on this omelet and the home fries ain't seasoned at all..also, there was no toast or biscuit with it.

I have to admit that I love this place I love the atmosphere, the service is great, & the food is delicious. I do have one complaint, which I did share with management. No tomatoes on the salad bar. I was told the price has "skyrocketed" & that they even took romaine lettuce off for the same reason. I questioned this, because I can still get grape tomatoes at HEB for a reasonable price. & not only that, when beef "skyrockets", are they going to stop serving it? I was told they will serve "tuna casserole", which I didn't think was an appropriate answer. I still think there's a better answer & compromise they could come up with to make their loyal customers happy.

So it was 815pm. This place closes at 9. I went in with my crew of workers (5 guys). We were greeted at the door promptly and sat down. Waters we're on the table and the buffet was loaded with home made food items. We were told great things about this place but they pulled through. Overachievers ! We got a home cooked meal while on the road working. I read a couple of the negative reviews and in my opinion, they are very nit picky about something easily avoidable and seemed to come from customers who's name I couldn't pronounce. They will be missing out on a wonderful, affordable food experience and a friendly place. Keep up the good work! I will definitely visit again and recommend this place to everybody.

We are from out of town but saw their commercial on local news. We went that way for a special event and decided to try it. Lots of choices and everything we had was delicious.

Dinner was the first visit, awesome buffet. Second visit was for breakfast, it was great. Service is always good, and the Coffee Shop Cafe is a regular stop when I visit McGregor.

Blah food...had to literally call waitress over to take our order. She was taking orders from folks that came in after us. My hamburger was so blah. Do they not use any spices at all? I just wasn't impressed this time.

I will definitely be going back ,I got the chesse burger and and it was very nice flavor and juicy .just wish I could have ate the whole thing ,got full to quickly .

I can't say enough good things about this cool place. Great food and service. Try the loaded hashbrowns...you won't be disappointed!

Great food at a reasonable price, service was good and the the establishment was very clean. Choice between buffet and menu. I had the jalapeno chicken sandwich and it didn't disappoint.
