The General Public

The food was good. It was just a little disappointing getting there and finding out they no longer serve oysters 😔

Food was exceptional, service was great. Waiter even chased me down outside because I had left my keys behind.

This was the best experience at any bar I’ve ever been to. Allyson was very quick with service and made some amazing drinks. The food selection has a good variety to it as well. If you haven’t been to general public or bowl an barrel right next door to them yet I strongly recommend it for a date night or just a night out you will not be disappointed.

Best happy hr place I know in Houston. Ranch water of tequila, whisky, etc. $3 at 3pm, $4 at 4pm and $5 at 5 pm.

The chicken drums, shrimp n grits and crab hashbrowns were soooo good!!! I came w/a group of friends and it was all - around entertainment. The staff is extremely nice and the atmosphere was on point! I will be back - 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

One of my favorite spots to post up for a classy casual drink, a slightly elevated food menu, and an open conceptdining experience. Its right up against Bowl and Barrel, but you don't even notice on a regular night, let alone a busy one. Their weekend brunch is good too; fresh food, strong cocktails, and personable staff.

Was looking for a quick and good place to eat,when we stumbled on this gem. Amazing food, drinks, and Happy Hour. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Cannot wait to go back.

Oh man! This place was THE BOMB! Came here for lunch w/a coworker. Our server was William. He is an absolute gem! So sweet and attentive! I got the crab hushpuppies with their BUTTER. Which is basically if butter and white cream had a baby. DEVINE. Then I got the $10 lunch lettuce wraps. At first I was worried it would be enough. But it was more than enough. There was just enough spice to have a kick but not be overwhelming. I’m going to be forced to come back with my husband.

We ate here on a whim after completing the escape room what a great decision that was. This place far exceeded our expectations. The crab hushpuppies are amazing, the honey chicken appetizers were delicious. The Ribeye Sandwich was soo freaking GOOD! I had the tiki punch and they were perfect! Fairly priced, and great atmosphere, great food, great staff! Our server was DeVon and he took amazing care of us! But we were also taken care of by Christian who went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!
